That's only possible if you look at him through a 1970's kaleidoscope whilst on fucking acid.
It's really not though. He's got the speed, power, quick feet. It's all about decisions and what goes on in his head where he falls down.

And we know Poch is interested, and we know that Poch isn't into wingers - so do the math.

Don't think we will sign an Owen/Defoe type as I've never seen a Pochettino team play with one of those regularly?

I agree he hasn't, saying that though he's definitely looking for more pace with the signings of N'Jie and N'Koudou. Pochettino likes players who can play multiple positions so I'd expect him to go for another WF/CF in the summer, rather than a out and out striker like Janssen. If he signs another number 9 though I agree with you Janssen's days are numbered.

And that's why it really is though. What's between his ears is why he will never be Messi or Ronaldo. Not even close. Different planets.

In my original post I said I'm not comparing him in ability to them, merely that he's a winger that I reckon Poch thinks could be converted into a more all round forward - like Bale and Ronaldo were.

True but I think he saw N'Jie and N'Koudou as punts or options off the bench in who can play in the wider positions. Similar to Sissoko although at £30m he wasn't a cheap punt.

I'll give him a shout out after his cameo. Worked hard and drew some valuable fouls. Just what we needed at that stage in the game.

I thought he looked a bit slimmer yesterday. Was watching it on tv rather than I. The stadium though so it could have been misleading.

Interesting comments from Poch saying he is now doing what he wants in training. Combine that with the comments from Janssen and hopefully he will be given a chance against Millwall to do the business. Really need Kane as fit as possible for the run in and giving Janssen this kind of game is what we bought him for.

Really want this guy to make it with us, I think there is something there and a little confidence and love from Poch could make the difference. Having Janssen finding some form for the end of the season could be the difference of 2nd and an fa cup or and nothing.

(There's a great line on FTL by Duncspur.)

Vinny comes on solely to remind the referee that the game is nearing an end and he should start keeping an eye on his watch.

Yep. Their defence didn't like his physicality. iirc he won the free kick that led to our 3rd goal.

It's not impossible that the free kick Janssen won that lead to our 3rd goal - which in theory won us 2 points as it panned out - ends up making a difference at season's end.

Commemorative DVD time for Vinnie.

Hope he gets some good minutes against Millwall.

I have a feeling he'll break that goal duck soon and go on a tear.

You have to feel sorry for Clinton N'Jie, there's no way on earth he could be any worse than Janssen.

I put a quid on him at 40-1 to finish top scorer in the league. I can't wait to collect my winnings
