Wouldn't mind him on the wing as well as rb but that would almost waste his speed, as it would give him less space to exploit. Plus with his pace, he'll be up and down like a tart's drawers anyway, Boundless energy, a good eye for a cross and knowing when and when not to go, or so it seems from the *ahem* YouTube clips.
Looking forward to watching his tear a hole in the side of many a team!

It is important for his development that he is given the time to adapt to his new surroundings both on and off the pitch and we believe that by coming to us in January it will give him the best opportunity to do so.

This reads to me as a statement that we should not expect to see much of Yedlin in the first team this season, that his arrival in January is to get him established, accustomed to London and ready to compete for his place next Autumn.

Not that this is going to stop some people here from berating the club and Pochettino for not starting with Yedlin, the next time Walker makes a defensive error.
