If toby turned around and said "i'd, like to play my contract out at spurs but then leave ona free and get as much money as i can from another club. It will be my last contract before i retire". Would you take it or would you sell? (Assuming he gets over his injuries)
I think i would with no hard feelings.

I wouldn’t. I’d sell him this summer. Get as much as we can and reinvest it back into the squad. Get that De Ligt if we could. I thought we’d struggle without him in the side, but I was wrong. Ideally I’d love him to stay, but under no circumstances should we let him leave on a free. Get as much money as we can, and move on.

I would but he’d have to sign a new two year contract as currently he could turn around in a year when, say, Real, activate the 25m clause and say ‘actually, changed my mind. I’m off.’
Would real buy a 30 year old?
