With Poch having no agent, I expect he wanted to talk through the draft contract with Uncle Alex. I mean, would you trust yourself against Uncle Daniel?
The fact ManU have now got first buy out rights, at a discounted rate, is neither here nor there.
Forget Levy and Ferguson: I'd go as far as saying I wouldn't trust any man unrelated to me who insisted that I call him "Uncle". He'd probably have a packet of sweets in his pocket and something to show me in the back of his minivan. With Poch having no agent, I expect he wanted to talk through the draft contract with Uncle Alex. Hmm, yes it all kinda fits a bit too well if you get me.
Poch said contract verbally agreed.
We seemed to wait an age for an announcement.

Poch signs new contract.
It does make you wonder exactly what was said.
But who gives a shit.
He's ours now and if Danny boy can back him and we can start winning trophy's, maybe he will want to build a legacy here.
One can only hope.
Alas, being spurs for over 30 yrs makes me a pessimist by default,
Something has to go tits up . . . Right?

I think the speculation after the meeting became public just bought forward the signing. In the same way the PSG comments saw Poch saying a new deal was agreed. I honestly think they were just picking Fergie's brain. Did Fergie mention managing ManU one day... maybe. I am taking Poch at his word that he plans to be here for some time to come and really build something. Maybe I'm being naive but he seems genuine and I want to believe he honestly means it.
