Winks's celebration both after his goal and at full time was great.

we have to tip our hat to Tim Sherwood, as one of the 1st managers that were prepared to trust our academy players.

Clearly, Poch shares the same philosophy and that's a good thing.

I don't know that we have to mention Tim in regards to this, Pochettino
doesnt play youth because of Tim Sherwood, he does it because he would have even if Sherwood hadnt. Pochettinho is here due to a failed Tim Sherwood, no hat tipping for me.

I believe all the managers/caretakers that Levy has let go is due to failure. I don't think he proved to be what we needed so was a failure in that sense.

He took over a team that had taken a few spankings playing anti football and managed to finish 6th with a win percentage of 59% i'd say considering he'd never managed before he did really well. Sure some games we got beat, but we also played some good attacking football winning at Old Trafford where we hardly had an amazing record.

Also the work he did with the youth looking back now i would say he played a part in the players we have produced over the last 2-3 years. We certainly had youth teams that were performing and winning things when he was here, it all seems a bit of a mess now, albeit results aren't everything.

But then i didn't have a personal dislike of the fella and found his tell it like it is openness to the press a breath of fresh air after Villas Boas, Redknapp and Ramos. I've also met the guy and he really loved the club when he was there.

I'm a big fan of Sherwood but don't really see the relevance.

Because, as Poch does now, Sherwood was one for bringing academy players into the first team. Pritchard, Veljkovic, Fredericks, Bentaleb (I think) got their first taste of premier leauge football under Sherwood.

A winning mentality is one thing, but that team spirit can't be bought. When a dropped midfielder rushes to congratulate not just a team mate, but a friend, that is priceless.
Let's now capitalise on that and smash Monaco
