His debut season was 2012, we're nearly into 2015 now.
Sherwood was over the top but truth be told, Vertonghen has barely been above average since.

The worrying thing is, even barely above average seems to be head and shoulders above the rest of our options.

Not only that but he also played I believe the majority of games a left back.


imo Vertonghen is an overrated player, Sherwood has a point. I would like to see Dier given a run in his natral CB position.
