i actually think we need a really good director of football and to back him (or her) more than anything else, till we get this right and re build the manager is always doomed

Just waiting for Levy to rock up with his Equine Dentistry certificate, newly acquired from the University of Neverland via the internet.

I’ve been saying it since Christmas, get them two in and a lot of peoples will be well happy.
His spell at Man U was a joke and he ended up not actually doing what they bought him in for!
His deal with Austria finishes in June 24, I’m sure he could combine that with being our SD!

Get on the phone to Levy, quick.

Don’t get this, JN will have the same issue wherever he goes and we have paid managers well

I am missing something, why the laughing emojis 🤷‍♀️😂
From my perspective you just couldn’t make it up really, here we go again, always a problem with actually doing something positive. Are you telling me the club didn’t know what his buy out clause was six weeks ago?
Everything associated with the club at the moment is like binge watching series 1 of Fawlty Towers….

i didn't leave a laugh emoji, but maybe the obvious trolling and BS of the report?

There is zero chance any "project" manager would come for these last few games. They'd have to change the style of the team with a limited squad and no time. It wouldn't go well most likely, and get their reign off to a bad start. The next manager needs to come in and have time behind closed doors, influence transfers and have the squad in a better shape before we get to see them play. Too much is driven by first impressions and confirmation bias after a good or bad start, no matter how patient we say we'll be.

All that, AND the fact that he is on gardening leave until the end of the season requiring a payout. This line of thinking 'reported' in this headline is just pandering to Levy hatred and trying to get us riled up even more. It's BS.

I don't think it's quite that simple.

Nagelsmann has 3+ years remaining on his contract at Bayern. They haven't terminated his contract yet - he's still being paid by them - so he's effectively on gardening leave. He will want Bayern to pay him the remainder of his contract (reported to be approx £32m).

We could probably quite easily agree a release fee with Bayern but then they could argue that they owe Nagelsmann nothing, as they haven't sacked him - they've just allowed him to break his contract to join another club. So I doubt JN would agree to this.

It's in the interests of all parties to find a solution, so I'm sure we can get there with a little bit of negotiation.

I thought Rangnick was the Austrian national team coach, so don't really see it as him angling for a DoF role with us. But given his relationship with JN and if the story is true then it can't hurt our cause to have him supporting a move to us.
