Hope he gets the time needs to implement his system.

It's a good interview but I'm not going to get hyper about things. It remains to be seen if the players can play the way Poch wants them to. They didn't play the way AVB wanted. Games are going to come thick and fast so there isn't going to be 6 or 7 months to get use to the system, they have to hit the ground running immediately.

Seems to me that if Poch can work such wonders with players then we have a player in Dembele who has all the potential to be an absolute world beater and all he needs is the right guidance to make him so.

I'm probably more intrigued by the impact Poch could have on Moussa than on any other player we have on our books.

I genuinely believe that Dembele has everything that a top CM needs to be successful, he simply lacks the decision making in attacking areas to be truly special. He has the strength, speed and skill already, tackles back well and goes past opposition players better than most. His passing ability is ok, he just needs to be smarter when in possession to pick the right pass to contribute to the team.

Could be a huge season for Dembele IMO.

I remember a game Dembele had for Fulham against Man U where he bossed it from start to finish. He closed down, tackled, passed and drove Fulham forward. If Poch can get him doing that on a regular basis then you're right he can be a world beater.

The fact that you had to use a game he played for Fulham and not us as an example says it all.

True but at least it shows he's capable.

My point about Dembele is that he has the ability to be one of our best players. I also still think he has played well for us at times but has just lacked consistency and bravery in the final third.

Lots of players show that they are capable for a match or two. I remember Jamie O'hara played brilliantly against Ronaldo at left back.

Dembele to me is basically another Adel Taarabt. He needs a ball for himself and some cones to dribble round whilst everyone else gets on with playing actual football...

His game is only suited to when it is open and there is space to attack. Against teams who put up the brick wall and where you require short, sharp passing to pull them out of shape and to exploit momentary lapses in concentration/organisation he is pretty much useless with his 15 seconds spent on the ball and 800 touches. Part of the problem is his lack of selfishness and self-belief, he has a good shot and can make half a yard for himself with ease in great positions to shoot, but rarely uses it.

Bentaleb will become one of the best deeper-lying CMs in the world. No doubt in my mind. His performances for Algeria convinced me. A 19 year old able to play as an anchorman as well as play that deeper CM position in a more attacking sense at the highest level is unreal. He needs to be part of the first team setup. He reminds me a lot of Vidal.

Not sure what this is about Schneiderlin being so much better. Schneiderlin previously couldn't get into the team ahead of Capoue who's international year was lost because of injuries/barely getting a chance to play. I'm sure if Pochettino's coaching is really that great then both Bentaleb and Capoue will look as good as you all think Schneiderlin is.

Dembele bossed games for Fulham against good teams many times, and it was in the same position he should be playing for us now.

Let's not forget in AVB's first season, despite Bale's rise, we had an incredible stat about not winning whenever Dembele missed a match. With him we did well, when he was out of the team we barely won.

Changed that slightly for you mate.
