Levy out! He's clearly got this club moving in the wrong direction. No debt, squad of mostly young players worth hundreds of millions, top 6 every season, in Europe every season, 2 top 4 finishes in 4 years, best training ground in the league, stadium close to being built. What the hell is he thinking?

You don't know what you're doin'!!!!!!!!!!!

21 wins again this season. Our joint best in the EPL and we had a shit season. Puts things in perspective a bit I suppose.

One Milk Cup in eleven years.
That is what history will show one day.
Sorry, or are we here to discuss finances/profit & loss spreadsheets?
:)
As for having an abundance of young players worth hundreds of millions. .

In our situation having a financially stable club is far more important than short term glory (and in modern football is worth its own bragging rights).

How is it Levy's fault for one trophy in the past eleven years?

Calling the League Cup the Milk Cup suggests your memory isn't that short. Shame the rest of your post does.

Where exactly are the financial spreadsheets we're apparently discussing?

The only graphs in this thread are those showing league positions and points - as far removed from what your suggesting as possible.

The Milk Cup reference is actually just pathetic. Did it mean nothing to you when we won the League Cup?

I still call it the milk cup, and yes it did mean a lot to me when we won it. I think we're going to have to settle for 5th/6th while the stadium is being built. Anything better is an overachievement.

Doesn't mean I support all Levy's decisions tho'.

Without essentially buying the league, it's quite hard to compete with Manchester City, Chelsea and Man Utd. Given that and comparing the "Levy years" to the "Sugar years", I'm pretty sure I know which I prefer. My R.E. classes spent deciding whether we play Jason Dozzell or Stephen Clemence in midfield and a back pairing of Gary Doherty and Stuart Nethercott desperately trying to achieve a 'UEFA Cup' place is really a different place to the honour we've had of Bale, Modric, Van der Vaart, Lloris, Vertonghen, Berbatov and so on.

History is not my concern - I'll be dead by then. I want to enjoy us winning more than losing and watching Paulinho flick the ball over some opposition donkey, watch Eriksen hammer in on the 90th and hopefully, next season watch the likes of Lamela, Soldado, Dembele and co smack other teams into the ground. The ingredients are there, we just need the right chef and perhaps some finishing touches to push on up.

The OP is proclaiming Levy as a genius. I'm simply putting things into a cold, hard perspective.
We had debts of £50m, which Uncle kindly paid off for us.
Until I see evidence that profits from the new stadium will be ploughed into the team, I'll carry on being a cynic, as I know how ENIC operate.
We've got a shiny new training facility. . well, yipedeedee!!!

Nor do I mate!

Levy has done a great job imo. If he left tomorrow we would be in a far better position than when he arrived.

How do they operate at spurs? That is the key question. So far they have operated by making us better in every single area of the club, except Tim being our manager of course.

No, he isn't, he's presenting cold, hard facts - whereas you're talking warm, sloppy bullshit.

Until you see evidence? Just WTF? What aren't you seeing now exactly that you want to see? Just what kind of embarrassing self-righteous "I'm a conspiracy theorist cynic which means I'm right" shite is that post?

Why? It's not been called that for decades. It's officially the League Cup. Almost no-one would naturally refer to it as that if you mentioned it to someone in conversation - most people wouldn't know what you were on about.

And he was not calling it that through nostalgia or habit - it was clearly meant as a dig at its relative unimportance.

The rest of your post is spot on.

The data doesn't lie, we are in an overall upward trend. Without a billionaire oil baron we're never going to improve at the rate of city for example. But it's all positive signs, we just need a decent manager, the only thing Levy is at fault with is not giving managers enough time/picking the wrong ones.
