8 arrests in a crowd of 60,000 sounds like a quiet night to me. I did not see any trouble last night. Quite a few Ajax fans in our section (which pissed m coff bearing in mind the struggle to get tickets) but was generally good natured.

I've seen a few agg vids in Twitter : Mostly posturing - I guess the tall fellas were the Nederlanders.

It's not proper agg anymore, just a load of trendily dressed blokes shouting at eachother and waving their arms about.

It’s disappointing to see comments here downplay or trivialise fighting and damage to public areas and businesses.

There are men, women and children whose safety was put at risk because some men with small dicks wanted a scrap.

Deplorable all round.

Ajax fans without tickets rushed the south Premium Hospitality entrance, smashing some of the glass barriers and let off flares outside the ground. I managed to get in via gate 18 (normally 12) but my friend who sits next to me was ushered into the Coroporate areas by Police and Stewards for safety reasons. They were then denied access initially through the stadium into our block (119) however were not allowed back outside and so were allowed through into their block.

Probably not the worst but disappointing nonetheless.

I’d be surprised if the police applauded unacceptable behaviour. Publicly anyway.

Yes disappointing as you say.

I just hope next week passes without trouble. I can see a number of Spurs fans going there without tickets. Lets just hope they behave and dont embarrass the club. Or maybe it will be the Ajax fans causing trouble when we win!

I'm ridiculing the incidents. Making the participants seem and sound pathetic. Make of it what you will.
.
I didn't post any video or photographic scenes, therefore denying the bad guys the oxygen of publicity.

I met a group of ajax fans on the tube, said they had no tickets and were borderline between jovial and agro. Managed to shake them off at seven sisters.

Then was outside the No8 pub heading to my seat when the bottles were thrown.

Got out of the way pretty sharpish

I reckon there'll be thousands. I've got to have seen at least 30/40 people just on here saying they're heading over there without tickets, have booked rooms & asking where good places are to meet up (for drinks and to watch, not to be dicks & cause trouble).

From the videos I've seen since Tuesday, those Ajax fans (ultras?) couldn't give a shit about innocent people, kids, females etc etc. They didn't even seem to care about the police.

I really hope everyone is able to stay safe & is smart enough to stay within a group.

Or if they're alone, cover up their Spurs shirt before & after the game etc. No idea what the police are like over there (hopefully not truncheon wielding ****s like in Spain & Italy) but anyone on their own, if not covered up, and there's been trouble, you could just be guilty by association.
