Don't think it will be an option. If we carry on playing as we have been we won't get past CSKA.
Though it would be beneficial to actually win a game at Wembley and get that monkey off our back as we have a whole season to play there next year.
Would any Europa games be at Wembley? as that get quite embarrassing attendance wise...

I'm not saying it doesn't effect them, just that top teams/players cope with two games a week and if that is what we are aspiring to be then we need to too. Farage and Trump! I'm talking football mate!

We need to even if we are not able to?

We have run Kane into the ground. He cannot play every game and we do not have suitable cover

....and that is just one example and area on the pitch!

Need to build league form over anything at this point. The FA Cup can be a concern once the league is looking better. Unless the club are trying to win the Europa League we may as well avoid at all costs. Don't need the dodgy pitches, the few thousand mile round trips and the ignominy of it all.

We need to get better at game management ,squad rotation and tailored training sessions depending on our schedule. It's not easy but most players that feature in the CL tonight will play at the weekend, if they can do it so can we.

I want us in it. Unless we improve quickly then it'll be our only way back into the CL next year and I'd actually like us to go far in a cup competition this year.

I'd quite like to play in the EL, give some of the squad players and youth players a chance. and I want to win a trophy ffs

Stay in, you do realise we need to stay in Europe to build our coefficient up right...? It was down to our pathetic showings in the EL we ended up with a lower coefficient score hence pot 3 for CL. This will be the case again next season if we're out of Europe altogether.

Having said that we're out either way as we have a manager who has a real problem with cup comps. I wish the club would take down our club motto as no way do we believe in that anymore!!!

Don't give a fuck about anything if we are going to play like this. If we are not 1st I honestly couldn't give a fuck if we finished 2nd or 12th.

Get in the Europa League and try and win it. Anyone who wants out of Europe doesn't really get football.
Come on, realistically we are not going to win the league. So we've got the Europa league and the FA Cup left to go for. Why would anyone want to give up on Europe to try and get top four?
For us fans surely it's about winning things and we've forgotten how to win anything. Problem is Pochettino has a habit of playing weakened teams in cup completions. So we're not going to take the Europa league or FA Cup seriously anyway.
As a fan I want to go for trophies(and give it a real go), but the clubs aim is 4th in the league and anything else is a bonus.
Our club has got used to just making up the numbers.

That's a bit harsh mate. Surely we have come a long way since the Sugar era

Wasn't making up the numbers finishing 8th-14th (or worse!) season after season after season?

Don't want us in it. Also, negates using the EL as an excuse for being abysmal.

We have come a long way, but there's still a long way to go. For a supposed big club our record of winning trophies over the last 20 odd years is scandalous. Season after season it's like we're only interested in coming top four. Point being we shouldn't be prioritising coming top four. If qualifying for the Champions league meant we could attract(and sign)star quality players and start paying big money in wages then I could sort of understand. Qualifying for the Champions league has not made much difference. The club wants the money. Surely as fans we only want trophies. We're out of 2 already this season. The Title is unrealistic. The Europa League and the FA Cup we have to try to win or what really is the point.

Personally hope we go out cause we clearly cannot handle midweek games yet, we still aren't where we need to be squad wise in terms of being fresh for all our matches so until then take a step back and play one game a week.

Used to be against it but fed up with winning nothing so beggars can't be choosers... maybe we should enter the Johnstones Paint Trophy just to experience what's it like not to be losers although we'd probably bottle that.

For me, I would have just one priority.
The FA cup. Nothing else.
Its a constant insult to the fans how pathetic our efforts have been in cup competitions for so long.
Its great to do well in the league, but unless you win it, its all a bit pointless. Even qualifying for CL can be a pointless exercise, as we have seen. I want to have memories of my club winning trophies. I'd love us to win the Europa League but we don't have the depth of squad to do well in that competition.

Last night I just thought we don't want Europa League but now have realised that it will be just knockout. With that in mind I think we should now go for it. But to do that Poch will need to change his thinking, find some answers to what we are poor in Europe. If he does that then we might be read.y for the CL next season. So stay in, try to win it and set some base for European football in the future

Agree.
By the way, why do you have a a Gooner as your avatar?

I'm so put off by the players right now... They really were a let down. If we didn't take the CL seriously enough because our players thought they were too good for that level then imagine the EL...

Nah FUCK THAT... Just forfeit the game and give us all our money back. Focus on the league and FA Cup.

The players aren't as good as they think they are and they need to take it seriously, treat it like a stepping stone but still take it seriously.

How else are they going to get experience?

maybe i'm weird but i feel no differently about the europa than i do the cl, neither gets the pulse racing like a league game. i hope we're in it though and give it a good go, 1st team with one or two very talented kids given a chance.
