SSN are saying Porto have been chucked out the next seasons CL due to the match fixing allegations in their 2003-04 season. Looks like Meeeeelan will be in the CL next season because the highest ranked UEFA team not in the competition gets a place. Would have been weird without them in it

Where did this about Milan getting the place come from? Porto lost a place, not Portugal. Portugal would just have a different team qualify for the Champions League.

Porto won't be relegated, their punishment is that they lost 6 points this season, although they still won the league by 14 points i think, and a fine. They are only accused of match fixing, it's all pretty strange but apparently they only tried to fix a match but didn't go through with bribing the referee, meanwhile Boavista were relegated this season because they did actually bribe a ref.

It's all complete bollocks to be honest, most people in Portugal support benfica and I think they hate how Porto are the biggest team in the country now. This entire issue came around because a ex girlfriend of the Porto chairman claimed he tried to bribe a ref, the entire situation is because of the words of an angry ex girlfriend. Plus the two games they are alleged to have tried to bribe was a 2-0 win against Amadora which Porto would have won anyway, and a 0-0 draw against Beira Mar when they had already won the league that season, and if you look at the squad Porto had in that season they were so good, so common sense would dicate that it's all rubbish... but benfiquistas will do anything lol.

hopefully Guimaraes will get the champions league spot, although they will get destroyed, but they came 3rd so they deserve it.

They absolutely will if that is how Portugal decide to fill their allocation. They still keep the current allocation and in fact at this point the european representatives haven't even been registered officially from each nation, so Guimaraes will be in the Champions League. Similar to how Chievo qualified when Juve got chucked out 2 seasons ago.

Again Milan will be in the Uefa cup. No way in for them unless one of the top 4 Italian teams gets chucked out.
