Would be a great idea as our academy is desperate for players to get playing time

Poch is on record saying that he prefers our best prospects to stay and train in his methods rather than go out on loan. And our second-tier prospects surely aren't the standard PSV want in their first team. I just can't see it.

i can only wonder why Philips Sports Verigining would want us to throw our hat in with them.

Man City and Chelsea are awash with petrodollars and roubles while we are allegedly only 'Johnny come latelys' to
the European circus.

That doesnt mean he is right about that philosophy and its at odds with the philosophy which has served us well in the past

Also people write off the so called second tier players

Danny Rose was never a top tier talent yet he is the best LB in the premier league atm

I actually think Holland would be great for someone like Onomah if he isn't going to be playing here anytime soon.

If it a Real Madrid-like special relationship then I'm all for it. We'll make a lovely sounding announcement but in reality we'll give them nothing and sign their best players. ;)

Has he ever said he wouldn't loan a player he considers one of our better prospects to a club with similar philosophy and methodology to his own?

We've had a healthy relationship with Ajax in recent times. Hopefully a PSV link up wouldn't impact upon getting hold of the likes of Dolberg etc.

Apparently they are looking for partners to invest in players. PSV's DoF Marcel Brands said that they want help to bring top prospects to the club and develop them into players that would be ready for the jump up to the top of the Premier League. The partner club would of course get first refusal on any of these players and a share of the profits should the player end up at a third club after leaving PSV.

The problem for PSV is that they have missed out on other partnerships. About 12 years ago they had a similar partnership with the Chavs which saw the arrival of Brazilian Defender Alex at PSV. That deal was co-funded by Chelsea who subsequently brought the player to London once he had matured into a real Powerhouse.
Shortly after Alex left however, an internal power struggle saw the pro-Chelsea members of the staff being shown the door. The Chavs took over Vitesse Arnhem through a proxy and have been blooding some of their youngsters in the Dutch League through them.

PSV have been trying to man their own boat since then but they have hit a ceiling. Commercially, they are no match for Ajax and the Dutch League just doesn't generate enough money to compete even for top-tier talents. Hence these overtures...

Of course the main question for Spurs would be how to make this setup work for us. PSV does historically have very good connections in Latin America...
