General free transfer discussion. Who would you sign? There's a few good ones this year, if rumours are to be believed.

Not sure if anyone heard but last night Redknapp jr. said we were interested in Altintop from Bayern who is on a free-he'd be a great signing

I'm not sure on their current contract status, but I'd like to see us go for

Senderos, Belletti, Ballack, Cole, Altintop, Chamakh

Saha, Adriano and Petrov depending on fitness.

Obviously a lot of those would reject us outright, but they would make a strong side.

edit: Turns out Rosicky is tied to Arsenal.

Not sure about Senderos-dont see him as a better option than King, Bassong, Dawson or Kaboul.

Chamakh is almost certainly going to the scum, but Cole, Altintop and Saha would all but complete our side

Senderos is nowhere near any of our defenders but he's still a young defender. He's already accumulated a wealth of experience with Arsenal. He'd be excellent squad cover.

Joe Cole is the big one I think. Isn't he out of contract in the summer? It's just a case of matching his wage demands. But if we could make up for that with his signing on fee, we could stand a chance with him.

Its probably highly unlikely, but Thiago Alcantara is out of contract with Barca in the summer. But he's been linked with the likes of Man Utd, Real Madrid and Chelsea. He's a 19 years attacking central midfielder. He could be another star coming out of Barca B. Could be worth a shot.

What about Muniesa? What's the status on his contract, he's got a bright future ahead, worth a dig perhaps?

He looks a promising player. Although they may see him as the future replacement for Puyol. His contract ends next year.

Im assuming we will keep Lennon, sell Bentley this summer so we could do with a backup RM unless we are happy with Kranjcar being able to fill in there

anyone mentioning j.cole get real, he's not an above average player anymore he lost it since injuries and poor form, at best he could be a 'super-sub' for a top half of the table team, but he no ways deserves to come into our squad and get games over the players we have already here (krancjar, modric, lennon, bale etc.) he is not a replacement for modric is he was to leave either...stop with the 'all hyped' english players syndrome, to think that he could play in place of those mentioned.

In your opinion of Joe Cole, you seem to be discribing the type of player that Harry brings the best out of.

maybe so,
throw in the love harry has always given cole in the past, were probably end up signing him (effectively going backwards from current first teamers)

who would you drop out the team to fit in cole? lennon, bale, modric?
play him centre mid? LOL

we honestly need to steer clear of cole and hopefully harry realizes we have better players currently...got add in j.cole must be coming up to 30 sooner rather than later
