If the ball is struck off target (hits the post), then the player has missed the target.

If it goes in off the post, can the player claim full responsibility for the goal? I don't think so in your argument, as you have given such strict guidlines as to what is and what isn't on target.

Your theory suggests that off target can become on target an still claimed by the striker of the shot. When we all know that if struck off target and hits a defender and goes in, the player can't claim the goal.

The only difference between the post and defender is that one is always static.

Unless it's Sunderland's defence...

2-0 now.
I wonder whether they will get four goals as the other three teams above us got yesterday. :(

The league's pretty depressing right now. Arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool looking the 3 best sides.

Agreed but to an extent we only have ourselves to blame, struggling for creating and goals if we were more effecient then we would be a threat to those three but currently we are not.

Its beginning to look like normal service is being resumed in the prem, with us firmly in the Europa league slot. Its vital we somehow win at the Emirates next week to ensure we don't allow that to happen.

If Liverpool finish above us that should be considered a huge failure considering how far ahead we are in our project compared to them and how often they have finished above us in the last 6 seasons.

Yep. Desperately, desperately need Kane back for this. A 25% Kane is better than nothing. He could recover more during the int'l break(if we'd fucking keep our recently injured guys away from england ffs)

Agreed but at this rate, they are miles ahead of us. They play exciting, direct, quiuck football. We dont.

I think Liverpool and City will be the top two. Not sure which order but I definitely think they are the best two teams in the league this season.

Arsenal will be just behind them in 3rd and there will be a fight between us, Chelsea and United for 4th.

I know many of you won't like sending such a compliment their way but the flair in that Liverpool side is just wonderful and I can't help but feel rather envious of the way they are blitzing teams with all those goals scored. Reminds me a bit of the games under Redknapp when it all clicked.

Looking at City, Arsenal and Liverpool I think their flair players who can do something out of nothing are what give them the edge on us, and help them to get past the teams we struggle to beat in a tight game. You could say the same about Hazard at Chelsea.

Not really. They don't have Europe which is a giant advantage. They have a wage bill that's 50% bigger than ours. They have a more experienced and historically much more successful manager than us. Just because they've been shit before doesn't mean they should automatically be shit now. In reality looking at the cold facts, they should finish above us.

Absolutley love beating this lot but have to say i cant see it think our unbeaten run is coming to an end probably quite a bad result.

This summer they spent their £30m on Mané. We spent it on Sissoko.

To me that says absolutely everything about the difference in style between Pochettino and Klopp.

I love Poch but he is very much defence first, Klopp is much more gung ho and risky.

The reward of taking such risks is that when it works you do what Liverpool are doing now. Of course it may blow up in their faces at some point but without European football I can't see it happening.

All bullshit excuses.

We had a huge head start on them developmentwise and Klopp has them beating us all ends up on every criteria apart from our stupid unbeaten run in a matter of months. Despite Milner at left back and Henderson as captain and a comedy defence. Those are facts.

We havent scored in open play for 360 minutes, not sure how much of that is due to Liverpools superior wage bill.

What bearing does us not scoring have on Liverpool beating everyone at the moment?
