Conspiracy innit. I think a lot of our fans are in need of anger management.
It's confirmation bias

Fans largely tend to remember times where they feel their team is hard done by and dismiss moments where they get the rub of the green (while focusing on moments other teams get lucky)

So according to Souness we're in danger of not finishing top 4 while City and Liverpool are nailed on. Right you are mate.

I think what Souness probably meant was that Chelsea were a shoo-in for the title and that we are in a position (relative to the others just below us) to be almost nailed on for CL next season.

Between the other four clubs, he thinks that it's probably City & Liverpool that will fill up the other two CL spots.

Good thing for us right now is that City's next two games are against Arsenal & Chelsea, so that's more dropped points for at least one top 4 rival (not that there's any guarantee we will win our 2 away from home).

Amazing that Man U. thought they were getting in Schweinsteiger a mature, cultured leader who'd do a job on the pitch with his huge skills, and be a leader/mentor off it.

Turns out he was a a bit of a flake, who went home to Germany as often as possible, was half-assed on the pitch and something of a layabout at training.

I have sympathy for United. I wouldn't have seen that coming either, considering the guy's prior reputation & stellar career.

There were plenty of warning signs before Van Gaal decided to go ahead with the signing.
He was incredibly injury prone during his last two seasons at Bayern, which interestingly coincided with his relationship/marriage with Ana Ivanovic (can't say I'd blame him for wanting to stay home a bit more ;)).

They still saw him as a risk worth taking because of the low transfer fee.

The retirement league lures another!

Hey MLS, bringing in older star players do not help your ratings. There is a reason the Premier League consistently out rates you even though its on weekend mornings. You need a quality on field product and entertaining games. When the only club that is mildly entertaining to watch is the Vieira managed NYCFC, you've got a problem. Not least because he'll probably be off to Europe after the season

It was obvious it wouldn't work out for him here. He was hardly playing at all in Germany.

He managed to get massive wages out of man utd though for not doing much so good on him.

Anyone who listened to any of the Bayern coaches, players, or even supporters would have known it though.

It wasn't just laziness though his body was somewhat breaking down.

Not sure if right thread but PP have an enhanced treble tomorrow on Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham to win at 5/2. Sounds good to me

Between Burnley's home form and United's injury/suspension issues I wouldn't be touching that with a barge-pole.
