United are so poor. Absolutely no guarantees that they win the EL either.

The sad thing is that they won't be once they throw another £200m at some world class players. I just don't see much glory in doing that myself though. The odd big money player is fine, but they are just becoming another City or Chelsea now. If they continue to be this shit then they'll be in danger of being the next Liverpool too.

United's problem is that they are rapidly losing their identity.

Not going to improve with stopgap managers like Maureen and LVG. They need to build up again with a younger manager for the long term. As for Moyes...

If United loses on Saturday, they finished level on points compared to last season. If they draw, they finish 1 point up but 2 wins down. United will already finish with their lowest win total since the Premier League began. Hmmmmm

Utd fans I know don't care, they want to spend whatever it takes to go back to being number 1

To any Utd fan my age or younger being the bets is their identity (seeing as they're all London Man U fans they only started supporting them because they were the best in the first place)

Equally I have never met a Chelsea fan who feels any negative way about the way the Russian money has brought them the success

Other fans might look in from the outside and say their achievements are meaningless because of the money involved but from my experience the fans of the respective clubs don't feel that way

But they could potentially win the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League in 2 years. More than we have won in about 30

Needs a move. If he longs this out for another season he could really damage his United legacy.

Wouldn't want us to sign him, but part of me believes there's a decent player in there still who just needs something to get him motivated. If he wasn't on wages of £300k I'd say he'd be perfect to either go back to Everton or join a club like Newcastle or Spam.
a move where though? He's not a Prem player any more. Everton would get an expensive player fading fast. Not a striker, not a midfielder. If they want to progress, he's not the answer. Newcastle for a season as they rebuild into a Prem side. West Ham can waste money and try to sell it as 'England's leading goal scorer' in typical West Ham fashion - forgetting he's a passenger in most games.

MLS would be better for him, but he'd need to work on his fitness. Even then, he's probably only got 2 seasons max left in him.

You say that but haven't they spent big for the last 2-3 summers and are still an embrassement.

if they don't get CL I just can't see them getting the players to challenge for the title next year.

With the kind of money they pay they'll be able to attract those players regardless.

2013-14 under Moyes/Giggs
7 Manchester United 38 19 7 12 64 43 +21 64

2016-17 under Mourinho
6 Manchester United 37 17 15 5 52 29 +23 66

One game to go of course, but with the EL final on the horizon they are expected to rest a few so they may not win. All that money spent and not much progress - so many draws this season. 22pts behind the winners in 2013-14 and now 24pts.

In the same time period...
Spurs:
6 Tottenham Hotspur 38 21 6 11 55 51 +4 69
to
2 Tottenham Hotspur 37 25 8 4 79 25 +54 83

They need to increase the minimum ammount a team can be shown and decrease the maximum.
Absolutely. The variance between the most and least shown teams is massive.

I'm amazed supporters of the teams that get shown 8 times per season bother buying a Sky subscription.

And of course Liverpool would be shown the most.

John Terry sky love in right now. Do they not realise that he was actually replaced as a player last season? He only plays in games that have no meaning.

Bye bye you classless oik, I predict he'll struggle big time when he walks off that pitch today. They'll probably improve as a squad without someone who seemingly loves being centre of attention without contributing to the playing side of things.
