Man City's Ilkay Gundogan has torn his cruciate

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38338582

Ah, it's the time of the season again where we all pretend we're not actually seceretly delighted that one of our rivals best players has suffered a bad injury.

Wouldn't wish it on anyone, blah, blah, blah...

Good news for us. Now, if Mane and Firminio and Sanchez could suffer a few broken collar bones, that'd be marvelous too.

Nah, I do feel sorry for him in particular. He's been so unlucky in his career. The others you mention I couldn't give a fuck about, but Gundogan seems cursed to always be crooked

You can feel sorry for the individual while at the same time feeling happy that his club is weakened.

Put it like this,

You have the choice of Ozil being injured for three months, or not being injured at all. In this daft hypothetical, what do you choose?

(Easy, isn't it.)

Not sure about that, he's a luxury player for sure, has low stamina and lacks fight. I think he's a great player but if you offered me someone like Sanchez or Willian or Lallana for this Spurs side they'd do more than Ozil would for us.

I think Lallana would be fantastic in our side. I thoughtvwe may have gone for him last year. The one thing missing was a real goal threat but this season for Liverpool and England he has been pretty sharp in front of goal. I would definitely take him (plus the others you mention) ahead of Ozil.

Expecting today to be Pardew's last match in charge and it will be a 0-3 defeat.

I want Chelsea those, of course, but Pardew is such a prick that him getting sacked would be a good consolation prize.

I'll go 2-1 Palace, Chelsea are due a defeat.

Costa has been on 4 yellows since September and hasn't been booked in 11 matches somehow. Hopefully he loses his cool today.

Didn't know that but that's also the exact same time they last lost a game. Coincidence? I think not! He's such a spoilt little twat when things aren't going for him!

There's Costa's yellow. Christmas off for him and plenty of time for another.

Scott Dann didn't even try to challenge. Arm on his back but still.. looking back, then stands there. 0-1.

Don't like the keeper's positioning on that goal, but Costa in this form is a phenomenon. Hate the ****s, but as a football fan it's great to watch a player playing so well.
