I know there is much wrong with the way city go about things.... But 90s me still finds it funny that they can do this to united.

Mourinho being there helps...

Sky just did a comparison between Kompany's goal in 2014, when he came from behind Smalling to score, and the one today, where he was in front of Smalling.

Though it wasn't Gary Neville's point, the two examples show that much commentary on corners (and crossing in general) is silly. When the attacker gets in front of the defender, the commentator says the defender should've gotten between the attacker & the goal, but when the attacker gets in from behind the defender, the commentator says the defender let the ball go over him.

This is make-it-up-as-you-go-along gibberish most of the time. Facts of the matter are, momentum always favours the attacker, and it's usually luck of the draw whose head the ball happens to drop onto.

Its approaching the end of his second season at the club. Isn't this the time when things start getting bad for him?
Normally, yeah. I think if they don't get off to a good start next season or he's unable to bring in the players he wants in the summer then things may start to really accelerate in terms of things going sour.

Jose can proudly point out that the United team he inherited are only a little shit compared to when he took over and that he just needs the board to show some ambition and back him with another 1/2 billion.
