Has to be the worst Man U 'team', and worst side to finish 2nd in the league, that I can recall. Van Gaal's at least had a methodology however rigid and misfiring it was, and I'm not sure Moyes served up any worse than this... This team has very little by way of quality on show, or team collective, and no real discernible style of play. Not sure how they have managed it, probably says more about the teams finishing below them.

Time is supposed to be added on for subs in extra-time. It often is. But sometimes is not.

It HAS to be taken out of referee's hands and taken to a "play has stopped" count down clock as used in Australian Rules or NFL.

There were Man U players 'cramping' from about the 55/60 minute in the cup semi-final. Mourinho knows how to kill opponents spirit and momentum. Always been a stain through all his success.

The sad thing is sometimes a 0-0 is a hard fought non scoring game but to put out a team to just settle for exactly that is unforgivable. How could fans reconcile with that level of enterprise week after week.

I see Sky Sports sent out a tweet after Noble and Pogba appeared to make up "what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch". Fuck off with that bollocks, they were tripping over themselves to get Dembele a retrospective ban after the Costa incident. Noble tried to scratch Pogbas face and should've been red carded, retrospective ban please.

Almost 30 seconds was wasted for Liverpool to make a sub right before Roma won a penalty in stoppage time. No time was added on to make up for it because the ref literally blew as soon as Liverpool kicked off again.

Before this game tonight it was showing a previous match between United and West Ham in Fergie's reign when they had Berbatov, Rooney, Hernandez and such and it made you realise just how different they used to be. There is a proposal to make the game two 30 minute halves where the clock stops every time the ball is out of play. That's really the only solution to the problem.
