Hodgson deserves some cred.

It’s the sort of run that could see them go well next season.

They’ve got some good players there and we’ve all seen how a great finish to a season can inspire a team to do good things the following season.
I’m not talking Leicester type success, but if they can keep their players, get a decent keeper and avoid having Zaha out for months, no reason they can’t eye up 7th imo.

Won't be too disappointed if the scoreline stays as it is, good riddance to WBA, stay gone please.

agree 100% - another reason I was irritated with the game today is beating west brom will be useful to us for next season! They do play well against us year in, year out. By contrast, was sad to see 6 points and loads of GD+ go down with Stoke.

poor from the ref. Free kick taken from the wrong position by a good 10 yards and where the extra time came who knows....would be furious if i was a saints fan.

Wow, to concede the points is bad but to concede it like that, in the dying minutes is heartbreaking.

To be honest, that shows where their mentality is at the moment and 2 wins in 22 games or whatever it is says it all. They had the better of an awful Everton side today, much more quality about them and were retreating around the 70 minute mark. Of course it so nearly worked but I just feel like Everton were truly there for the taking today, more than for just a 1-0 win.

The game against Swansea will be like a cup final for them now as you have to assume they'll lose their last game against Man City. If they draw the Swansea game and lose to City, Swansea still have Stoke at home to potentially save themselves. Massive, massive game for Saints against Swansea.

This 2017/18 PL campaign has a few more twists and turn yet.

There's been some bastard moments and I hope we'll come through

Hitting the beer tonight - I was in the local Supervalu supermarket today and they
had 12 x500 ml cans of Carlsberg for €10. Brewed under licence at St.James's Gate, Dublin. Don't worry I'm only having just the 12 - no chasers.

Until tomorrow then ...

A win for either of them relegates West Brom, which means it'll be a draw!

it's a minimum of 4 mins, the ref might of had it down as 4mins and 40 seconds, and with slight delays during that 4 mins might of stretched it to the 4:59 seconds as the ball was heading in.

I get more frustrated when they call it 4, and end it dead on 4 when the ball has been out of play 5 times since the board was held up.

anyway glad Rochdale survived, followed their results a little after the FA Cup match

Very valuable point for Huddersfield. 3pts clear of both Soton and Swans who play each other on Tuesday.
