I like the look of Brooks, he looks like a premier league footballer.

Eddie Howe deserves a chance at a top 6 club.
Hope he doesn't jump at the first chance. Judging by how Bournemouth have improved year on year suggests he needs time and support to implement his style. If he moves, and he has made an unsuccessful move in the past, then I hope he chooses wisely.

He needs to walk into a situation like Poch did. Moving to a team on the cusp but with some financial support would be perfect. Arsenal may have been a decent shout this season as was Everton. It would be unwise for him to go to one of those clubs with entitled supporters expecting immediate success ie trophies and CL.

I really like him as he is a classy guy and plays good stuff but you can tell he doesn't suffer fools. Loved that he sat Wilshere down when he wasn't performing.

I think Arsenal was the one. Trouble is, their fans are too entitled to give him the 3/4/5 seasons they’d need. I actually think ours would be too. But you never know until you’re given a go. He’s actually probably got more chance of getting the England job than a job with a top 6 team.

Can definitely see England approaching him when Southgate leaves. They'd be daft not to.

Bournemouth have it seems shelved their new stadium plans. They're completely screwed over by the current situation and the bunch of incompetents who used to run the club. Had to sell their ground back in 2005 for £3.5m and lease it back for £325k per year - so they've already paid back the entire amount they received and more. They've wanted to buy it back for ages but the company who owns it is refusing all offers. From their point of view either Bournemouth are stuck paying the lease fee forever which will add up to a huge amount, or they move out and the ground can then be knocked down with the space used for expensive housing. If a new stadium isn't a viable option for them - and it probably isn't with the collapse of the naming rights market - it's hard to see how the club can ever really be sustainable. Like all the smaller teams they'll inevitably get relegated at some stage, even if it's after ten years or so, and they'll be back in the football league with limited capacity in a ground they'll never own.

Not a good place for them.

One hour or so to kick off ...

LAWRO'S PREDICTION
It would probably be typical of the Hammers at the moment if they have a stumble just as they start to get back on their feet.

That's why I am going for a Brighton win. Their home form is going to be vital for them this season and when they really need a win they seem to be able to get one.

Prediction: 2-1

I reckon the Mockneys will nick it 2-1 as they chase a CL spot..

Jeez these prescription drugs are strong..

That is an absolutely classic Lawro prediction. Screw form and style, I'm going with my gut and will make no attempt to reasonably explain it.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was right, but he does a piss poor job arguing for it.

I'm still unsure of Brighton's style of play, they kind of seem like a momentum team.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Glen Murray is pretty underrated. He's scored a lot of career goals.
