United’s defence is terrible.
It's all quite amusing really.

I questioned the appointment of Mourinho with many of my United supporting friends and brother, only to be told that it doesn't matter about style because they were getting a winner and that the defence would be strong.

My brother has now backtracked, stating that it was a mistake and they should have just stuck with Van Gaal as whilst the football was boring there was at least a method there and they weren't too bad defensively.

Lastly, VG would blood through the youngsters and Martial and Rashford were actually full of confidence.

The truth is they sold their soul and beliefs on football for a 'proven winner' and it's backfired tremendously. I don't even think that Europa League win masks how bad it's been because they beat hardly anyone significant. Van Gaal was hounded out because the media didn't like him and the fans bought into it, he should have been longer.

In any other circumstances I'd expect utd to come back and win, but this time I have bet on them, so you're all welcome

Again, Pogba. Doing keeps ups on the edge of his own box and getting caught.

Zero desire, energy or application from this Utd side, they are absolutely clueless from back to front.

This has to be the worst Utd I’ve seen since I was a kid.

I agree. When your coach doesn't want you to express yourself on the ball and always reverts to discipline first then you get a group of footballers who get bored and lack inspiration.

The likes of Martial, Rashford want to be running at defences without worrying they'll face the wrath of their coach and then be benched for weeks after.

Just as I say that.... all Southampton defenders get sucked towards the ball and let Lukaku stroll in.

It still took 2 fortunate breaks for Rashford for the opportunity to come about.

Fair play to Lukaku though, clinical finish.
