He's an 18 year old, playing in a struggling promoted side, against a much better team. Very hard to judge his worth, but no point writing him off. He will most likely only get better.

Yeah, good move started and almost finished by Gomes. Apparently he was available for a song this summer, actually only a loan which you would assume would have been tempting for a club with no money for transfers but a major need for for an all around midfielder to help balance our side. Seems to be really helping Everton.

Where do you get this information? There were links last year and this summer past but he is at Everton, on loan. Nothing suggests Poch 'wanted' him.

Yeah, I think there was whiffs of 'barca want to sell outright' or 'complications with buyback' etc etc etc. But to have been available for 3 TWs (if you include Jan window) and end up at Everton, though with a Portuguese manager that presumably knows him, says to me that Poch may not have wanted him.

I wanted him in the summer as it made sense and I knew he was better than what we had. After seeing his transition to the PL thus far it only makes me angry. Now the f*cking info we will hear is that Barca want too much money after his performance in the PL during his loan year when we could have had him for a song.

There was equally jokesters that went over the top with his 'amazing' performances at Valencia. He was never amazing at Valencia. He showed promise that supported a move to a bigger team but not Barca and not for the price paid. They panicked and he suffered for being a Mendes client.

He is a footballer and proper midfielder however which is something we lack. Just look at how he has resisted some of Liverpool's pressing already. Must be nice.
