Did we 'work' the ball into their end or did we chip their press? We've been going over their press since the 2nd game we've had against them. The game at Wembley we went 'over' the press to Harry out on the left (on Lovren). At Liverpool they hammered us until they tired ad then we dominated.

NO need to get defensive about it as it is a legitimate method to counter a press. Especially when you don't have the MF to pass through it.

It always amazes me that a human adult man can writhe on the floor in agony over the slightest touch. These lads wouldnt have coped in the 60s/70s.

But I learned a couple of things - Alisson is fallible and hasn't really been tested yet and so far Mo Salah is not the same player he was last season. Something missing in his game.

Were Liverpool not impressive today? If not I think they will get caught out eventually unless they improve. I know some of the reaction to the previous game against Palace was that it was a professional display but I personally thought they were poor there also, but just too early to tell if the display was a one off or not. Similar to us with Newcastle, poor but it was the first game in that we somewhat knew we'd improve and not repeat such a display often.

Just seen the Allison mistake, so glad that happened. Was getting sick of him being called amazing and just what Liverpool need after catching a ball.
