The handball law is still rubbish. This unnatural position stuff is bollocks. On that penalty the Chelsea attacker had his arms in exactly the same position as the defender, which indicates to me that both players had their arms in a natural position. I'm glad it was given as it was against Arsenal, but the rule, or at least the wording of the rule, is nonsense. If it was given as it was a goal bound effort that was blocked with a hand I could understand it.

That's what this part of the handball law is for.

"By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised"

In this case the defender knows he isn't going to win the header so he's taking a massive risk by having his arm away from his body in the path of a potential goal bound header.

It's the same as the Everton hand ball. The defender knows the cross is coming. So by leaving his arm out from the body they are taking the risk of being penalized.

Think about what could happen if every defender trying to block a shot could have their arms "naturally" a ball width from their body. It would literally double their silhouette and make blocking shots and crosses up to twice as easy.

Man! I was just about to quote myself with STFU 😒
I'll say this - he looked much better at Brentford. Still didn't see the fuss about his passing etc but in terms of shot-stopping etc he hasn't been the same at Arse.

Wanted a draw but want them to lose now, the defeat hurts them.

Just when they thought they were brillant.

Talk about us being lucky, Arsenal have been.

Shouldnt of beaten City.
