City will continue this slump as long as Pep wears those clumpy shoes. Somewhere a person (could be a woman) with height issues, or a clown, is living miserably due to Pep stealing their shoes.

Villa have had two draining games against Tottenham and Man City.. hopefully they didn't spunk all their load and left something in the tank

Most teams tend to sit back against City and play ten men behind the ball. It's been happening for years.

Bar Liverpool and Tottenham year after year we seem to have a go at them back. I think more are just giving it a pop now and realise stuff can happen. Villa overwhelmed them pretty easily

Without Rodri and his tactical fouls teams can bully them a bit.

I'm still wondering if Arteta will go for Toney in the transfer window. Still question marks over their 3 forwards

Sheffield Utd got fucked by the officials vs Liverpool. All decisions went against them. Looks like Klopps tears have worked.

Caicedo and Enzo struggling.

A whole host of dumb decisions at Chelsea but this is the worst of tbe lot.

Putting 2 very young players in a midfield and expecting them to have the ability/tactical nous to control games was absurd.

Caicedo is still raw but at Brighton his job was made easier by working in a very fluid system and then he had players alongside him guiding him, also he had Bissouma ahead of him so he was essentially watching Bissouma and learning from him.

Enzo was working in a very detailed system at Benfica and in a much weaker league.

Poch is not known for his ability to create exceptional passing midfields.

What made us so good was having Dembele and Wanyama boss it and get the ball to Eriksen or further forward where the creativity eas.

Enzo and Caicedo are miles off doing that

It was Simon Hooper as well, absolutely zero chance he was going to give anything remotely 50-50 against Liverpool. Klopp’s crying and asking for a replay was for exactly this outcome - referees too scared to give decisions against them

Yet another example of pathetic and weak officiating that we have in the supposed best league in the world

Forest lost 5-0 and still gave Steve Cooper a proper ovation after the game. He's done so much for them but they all expect him to be gone very soon.

Actually a bit amazed by the amount of people now saying City are done this season and out of a title race. They do this literally every year. Then they hit a run and steamroll teams.

5 or 6 points behind us nothing, they were 11 behind last year and won with games to spare. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It’s not even January.

City's current form (and ours, recently) is further indicative of how much your team hinges on its midfield. Same as I expect us to be back to our early season best once Maddison is fit again, I fully expect De Bruyne to come back in and Man City to go on the usual 15 game winning streak.

Weird isn't it. The Darwin scissor tackle yesterday was far more dangerous than Romero's clearance against Chelsea, and yet there's almost silence about it.

And not only did Sheffield United not get a free kick from it, with Dawin punished, but Liverpool scored from it. Yet no hysteria about reffing standards etc, even from other fans this time.

It's a very odd season. Noticed Sterling got away scot free with another blatant dive yesterday too... 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think this is a bit of a myth. The are just crazy consistent all season and average over 2pts a game, where as other teams tend to drop off. Someone pulled out the stats and there is no increase in points post Christmas vs pre Christmas. It's just consistent

Rodri was suspended for last night wasn't he? They really miss him when he is out. Think they've lost 4 games or something this season without him.

It’s so sad, because like Ranieri at Leicester, you don’t want it to end like this; the long and sad decline after reaching the mountain top. Reality sucks. He’s a good bloke and a good coach, just might have hit the end of what he can do there.

And they're still in a position where they are unlikely to go down because there are some worse teams in the league and Everton have to catch up by 10 points. But it does feel very end of the road all the same.

Cooper will be back. Maybe even at Palace now that Roy's managed to turn half the fanbase against him and more are putting themselves on the fence.

Wales job’ll be free if they don’t get to the Euros (and maybe even if they do); could see him doing well there.

I wouldn’t count them out of relegation just yet. If they stick with Vlachodimos in net, there going to get worse. Horrible command of his back line, non existent on crosses & a poor shot stopper. If you didn’t know of him before, you’d think their owner just plucked him from the local Greek restaurant to play keeper for his team.
