Oscar Bobb -. Been in their academy since 2019. Already looks like they unearthed another star.

For all the oil money narrative, their scouting and academy set up is just brilliant.
Txiki Begiristain - now into his 11th year as Sporting Director at City -when he leaves them one day, his record of transfer hit rate & academy hit rate going to be unparalleled.

difference is Pep will give the time to come good, as will their fans.
You can afford to though when money is no object. That's always been the point behind the doping. They sunk a fortune their academy at the very start, more than most PL teams invest in their first team. Then they can afford to sign who they want because if it doesn't work it doesn't matter, they can just spend another £60m next window. Con men and I can't wait for the relegation

Why do you think their academy is so good?

Just cannot get over that third goal. That's an unbelievable finish.

I will say that whilst de Bruyne's magnificent and they definitely should win the league, few of their signings this year have really worked. Nunes, Gvardiol, Kovacic - they all seem a bit off.
I think Nunes was always going to be a slow adaptar cause he isnt at that level yet.

He would have seen less game time had De Bruyne been fit and Pep is probably still working on him.

They have the best people in academy setup, best scouting network, best decision makers...all fueled by oil money ofcourse. But that gives no guarantee whats so ever that, academy players will get developed and get a look in , let alone be stars. And ofcourse, Pep has a huge part here.

By the way, that City winner....was scored by a City academy player overcoming Trippier, ex-City academy player when City oil era started.

You say that but the 2 best academies are an oil club, and an ex oil club. I bet Newcastle's academy will explode next. It's all money, if you can pay the best prospects the most money with impunity, you'll have the best Academy, or so the evidence shows. Nothing to do with setup imo
