They’re winning the league aren’t they ffs

Judging by the comments in here, I think this is going to be a controversial opinion, but I think Liverpool will be top by Xmas.

If Liverpool beat Sheff Utd, and they should, they will be just 2 points behind Arsenal with Palace away, Man Utd then Arsenal (both at home) in their next 3 games.

Arsenal's next 3 are Villa away, Brighton at home and Liverpool away. I fancy Liverpool to beat Arsenal at home and equal or better their other 2 results.

It's just going the same way as last season really. I remember them beating Villa away due to a last minute goal and me feeling similar to how I do now. This time I do feel a little differently though. I think the only thing that may aid them enough is other teams also underperforming, but I personally don't see them sustaining this run of form.

Yes late wins are good and 'a sign of champions' and all that, but I just think they're having too many games that could easily have gone the other way, and it will catch up to them eventually.

There's a big difference here. Romero goes straight into a leg which is planted on the ground, where whatever his name is had all of the contact occur above ground and by the time the Luton players foot hit the ground the contact was done. There was significantly less risk for serious injury to the Luton player.

Could make an argument for a yellow but there's enough of a difference to make it not a red.

You do realise that Arsenal "couldn’t even scrape a win against" Fulham at home.

Also Liverpool beat Newcastle away having to play with 10 men for 60 mins. Arsenal lost to Newcastle.

No I get all of that, my point is that I don’t see either of them being particularly strong.

I’m sure City will put on a run eventually, but they lack a bit of spine this season without their two most influential midfielders (after Rodri).

Last year Arsenal were very good but City were just dominant. This year, they’re all a bit average.

It'll be far more competitive this season with Liverpool in the mix. IDK what the bookies are saying but at the moment I'd have Arsenal as third favourites after City and Liverpool. A last minute win away to a team who will spend the entire season fighting relegation doesn't change that.

City are always just plodding along at this stage of the season though over the last few seasons. They'll have Liverpool and Arsenal within touching distance with 10 games to go and that's all they need. They will go on a run at some point, and KDB is due back before Christmas too.

Not concerned about Arsenal. The way they're playing and winning is not sustainable, as we found out last season with Conte when we were playing shite and winning.

I just don't see how they can win it with a choice of Raya or Ramsdale. They both consistently make dreadful mistakes. I'm so fucking glad we didn't get Raya.

It had 7 goals and was an entertaining watch, even with the end result.

Arsenal are playing worse than they did last season, so I doubt they will win the league. I'm not afraid of them and nobody should be. Luton barely scored any goals before last night and scored 3 v Arsenal. We kept Luton out with TEN men. Raya is a poor keeper, they bought him for his feet and not his hands (like United and Onana).

Good result for them, though, and last minute winners will always boost the confidence going into the next game. That's at Villa, which we all know this season is a tough game.

Ordinarily, I'd say yes – but who do they turn to now? Their best hope would be that they could convince De Zerbi to jump ship, but I'd be surprised; he has a good thing going at Brighton, despite them stumbling a bit with the added rigour of European football.

Problem is when someone like United make an offer for a coach, a coach is liable to say yes. You don’t get those opportunities every day.

I think it would be the wrong move for him though, and for United. There’s no point them sacking Ten Haag until the Ratcliffe deal is in place. I suspect he’ll go in the spring and there will be a complete restructure of the club with a proper DoF and coach to suit.

Yeah mainly because he wasn't fast like Walker. Could never understand it myself, Trippier was easily the superior technical footballer.

There were good sources a few years ago reporting that Zidane doesn't want to work in England at all, for any club.

That was before Deschamps extended his contract with France, which is the job everyone was saying Zidane wants, but I still don't see Zidane at United in any near or distant future.

Yeah it wouldnt surprise me if Liverpool won the league. Weirdly there hasnt been much focus on them and they have gone a little under the radar.
