Looking at Arsenal fixtures they have home to Newcastle and Villa.
Away to City, Spurs, Brighton Man Utd. Too many difficult fixtures for them to win it.
Currently those 2 extra slots are going to Germany and Italy respectively. England lost the initiative on that when United and Newcastle went out.
We really need City and Arsenal to have strong showings in the knock-out stages to have a chance of regaining that slot.
All European competitions are involved, not just the CL. We are just fractions behind the Germans at the moment. We have 6 teams through as group winners, therefore all seeded, good chance of most of them getting through. England will get the 5th place.

Kamara is an important player for them, but they are starting to look stale and this might be an opportunity for them to freshen things up. They seem reasonably well stocked in midfield and if the likes of Ramsey, Tielemans and Zaniolo get more minutes it could be the boost they need going forwards. I remember the turning point in our first season qualifying for the CL was when we lost Palacios and had to move Modric inside. I wouldn’t write them off.
You’re comparing Modric, Ballon Dor winner, to ramsey and Zaniolo. They are a good solid team but we have a lot more class.

I don’t think Chelsea are as bad as they look. Good players imo but they have no pattern of play, no idea how they’re gonna score. Palmer is ostensibly in the #9 position but keep seeing him in the dm position trying to get the ball. Passing without purpose really

I don't think I've ever seen better passing among and from top-flight defenders than I have this season. Everyone's at it, so in a way it's a bit surprising we haven't seen more Madueke-style mistakes. Been really impressed with how well rando Everton and Palace defenders/back-lines have been able to remain technically sound in tight spots at the back.

I wouldn’t take a single one of these Chelsea players.

Overpaid mercenaries. I would say how long before they down tools but they are all too lazy to pick the tools up to begin with.

I would take Palmer and despite his mistake I think Madueke is really good for his age

On the bright side we get to listen to Martin Tyler just talk about whatever the fuck he’s rambling about to make up the time during this delay.

Modern day football... Ref still getting plugged in before the second half kicks off this is getting ridiculous. Happened in our game vs Brentford too
