I heard Mac Allister described as being the "bargain of the summer". I think he's a fantastic player but he wasn't exactly cheap either. Who would qualify for such an accolade?
Some Liverpool pundits have gone as far to say "what a find by Liverpool" as if it wasn't Brighton who did that

If Utd keep Ten Hag next season they are mental.

You would think that they were managed by Tony Pulis.

A bit annoyed Liverpool haven’t got a second here yet.

All it takes is a lucky deflection or a worldie and it’s suddenly a draw.

Liverpool being very wasteful.

I know it shouldn’t be surprising but I still find it surprising how terrible Utd are top to bottom. Need a total rebuild

Just seeing that replay again, it looks like Mainoo was there to pick up one of the Liverpool defenders incase there was a screen. Seems a bit mad to just leave someone free in the box.

They have had some luck in a fair few games and show a brighter performance every now and then.

This has kept them just above likes of Newcastle and West Ham, which I think masks how much of a mess they are.

They have some bright sparks in the academy, but as with most top teams who have dropped off, it is predominantly poor recruitment and interference up top that causes the downfall.

At this point if we start hearing "You're getting sacked in the morning" I'm not sure which supporters would be singing it. Maybe both.

Just hope Liverpool have learnt from their FA Cup defeat. United just waiting to counter all first half. With Liverpool’s experience and with more chances to come surely they put this to bed.

I’d worry that Pool will regret all the missed opportunities, but Gawd, United have been terrible.

Liverpool really should be out of sight by now.

It's funny though. Over the years the Liverpool front line of Salah, Firmino and Mane was the scariest front line in the league. Now I'd say that their front line is probably their weakest aspect. Salah looks to have lost a little bit of that explosiveness he had. Nunez is nowhere near consistent and Diaz is not close to what Mane was.

Klopp has though built another terrifying midfield trio. Mac Allister, Szoblaszai and Endo are all high energy players and they all have quality on the ball.

I’m not sure what the consensus on here is. Do we want a united win or a ‘pool win? I’d hate to see ‘pool win the league, but I’d like to see Utd drop points. Boring draw with collateral damage for both sides would be ideal.

Liverpool didn't finish them off in the FA Cup when they needed to.
Think a cup game is a little bit different though in that United could chuck everything at it, they can't today if they don't want to get absolutely mullered.

The cut back just needs to find the right Liverpool player next time and itll be game over. Last ditch won't always save the day.

I saw an article that they have had the highest net spend globally of any club over the last 10 years

admittedly that probably hides all the back handers Man City have paid

But incredible that they are so poor

overpaying for signings, paying crazy wages for average players happy to get rich putting in a middling effort that they then can’t sell and not being able to / unwilling to sell anyone for a decent fee
