Muamba has been excellent for Bolton today. Every time I see him I think what a good alternative to Huddlios he would be: disciplined, strong, good passer, covers huge ground, tackles and blocks, an excellent young player. Not good enough to replace either Hudd or Wilson yet but a great alternative to allow us to retain shape and style and rest either.

We tried for him last summer, but Bolton wanted 11 million, IIRC

Either did I, but I'll have to see the replays(if they ever show them). I don't think the ref was going to send him off until he saw the damage.

Just rewatched it a few times on Sky+... It dosnt look like a bad tackled. It's a 50-50 and they both go in for it full blooded. His studs are not up. It looks to me that he caught him with the instep of his boot and kicked his shin as Ramsay got to the ball a split second before when he slid in.
