PSV Eindhoven have told Sky Sports they have not received any contact from Tottenham over Netherlands winger Memphis Depay.

Strange that their sporting director is saying ,"Nacer Chadli is not of interest to us", if there has been no contact Yes, he can have been asked directly about Nacer by Skysport but, then, in such cases the concerning clubs generally refrains from making direct statements about players in other clubs. Oh, well.

Depay looked good at the WC, but we have signed 9 midfielders in the past 2 years, including 5 last summer. We also have had players coming though like Carroll, Bentaleb & Livermore.

I agreed with all the defensive reinforcements so far but think once we have the new centre half that should be it for now unless we need to replace departures that are forced on us (e.g. Sandro)

I would like to see Chadli rotated with Lennon, Chadli is a very skillful player that can play the left side role cutting onto his right foot also i feel can operate as a No.10. The interchange between Lamela Eriksen Chadli if allowed to develop can be deadly.

Yes I know. And we sold Sigurdsson and Dempsey from the 3 midfielders we signed the summer before last. My point was more around the lack of stability, we always seem to think introducing a new midfielder is the answer instead of sticking with what we have for a while - there is far too much churn.
