Hi all,

Me, my dad and my father in law are going to watch the Leverkusen game next week in Germany. Really excited about it! The last time I watched Spurs away in the CL was against AC Milan, so I am hoping it is a good omen!

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys are making the trip, and if yes, if there is a particular area/pub in the city that you will be meeting at before the game.

Thanks

Most people seem to be drinking in Cologne before and after the game, and getting the train to Leverkusen. Seems like there is very little by the ground itself.

Think we're drinking in the Alte Markt, Cologne (square with a few bars all around like there was in Dortmund basically).

Yep, "Spurs im Süden" will be there with 20+ people as well. If anyone want to share a drink or two get in contact with me :)

There is nothing in Leverkusen from what I vaguely remember of the last trip. Koln is excellent though and only 15 mins away on the train. Some also staying in Dusseldorf but Koln has everything you'll ever need

We took over the Irish bar when I was there years ago, wall to wall Spurs and one local BL fan who sat there in his team shirt and refused to be moved out of his regular haunt, at a rough estimate I reckon he was bought about 450 drinks by Spurs fans that night, lovely to see opposing fans get on so well. Some locals (anyone remember LennonsJetBoots and his dad?) got me tickets in with the BL fans, friendly fans and a good night.

If I remember rightly, there was Uncle Sam's and the Westminster in Leverkusen but not much else.
Cologne is a great city, there are so many bars you won't be disappointed! Try the Kolsch brew houses such as Gaffel, Fruh and Sion.
