Olic doesnt even look fast. Surely Henry or Anelka or Podolski are faster

It raises an interesting deabte. People go on and on about the importance of pace, but outside of the Prem (where we tend to play a high defensive line and quick build up play), is it as important? When teams defend deeper and often play with 5 in midfield are there opportunities for the likes of Henry or Anelka to show their pace? I can't remember many examples during the tournament so far of blistering pace and this is almost certainly because space had been hard to come by. Olic has obvioulsy found the chance to stretch his legs, whilst the likes of Henry haven't. And with more and more teams playing 451 in the Prem and sitting that bit deeper, is pace going to become less important?
