Taken directly from spurs website on Friday. This pissed me off so much but didn't have time to post it.

“Previously we’ve been working towards Anji but as of today, Saturday and Sunday we’ll think about Liverpool.”

Here in lies the problem, just like against west ham AVB was concentrating on beating anji rather than focusing on one of our biggest games of the season.

For this alone he's got to go.

Reminds me more and more of Ramos and his obsession with repeating his Europa League success. Playing King in meaningless European games, whilst we shipped goals in the Prem without him.

Exactly how much preparation did we really need for a game where we've already won the group. Pathetic.

I think his lack of prioritising the league is very wrong and could be the main reason I have had small doubts.

These doubts are growing - the Europa League is a pain.

Would agree.

Group won. Play kids and give Freund or Sherwood some experience and get them to set the team up for Anji.

Focus 100% on pool.

AVB just does not get it. It could be the main reason Levy might pull the trigger

I am happy that we are in the Euro League. It means about 10 times more often Spurs in the season, and no matter what I am looking forward to every game.

He could have rested a few, esp Dembele but on the other side there were a lot of players on the pitch who needed a game for confidence etc. . I don't think it is the motivation , mainly the clueless tactics.

The Europa league might be a pain now but rest assured we won't have that worry next season

Ramos all over. Priorities all wrong. Don't forget that Bale got crocked in that bloody competition last season.

Although I see why people aren't happy, I think you should always concentrate on the next match, I know in this instance it was a pointless game, but if the manager starts saying this game is rubbish concentrate on the one after, it could set a dangerous precendent and it could start carrying over into different competitions.

The point being is why did we spend 4 days concentrating on beating anji in a meaningless game instead of focusing 100% on today's game which meant everything to us.

I'm not talking about playing first teamers in a dead rubber, I'm talking about not preparing properly to play a rampant Liverpool team.

It doesn't matter. Training is going to 99% of the same regardless of who your playing. Of course your going to be focused on your next game but that doesn't mean nothing was happening. Clearly teams have been scouted and tactics drawn up long before they're used in training.

I don't see what the problem is.
For a normal EL match I'd agree with you but the Anzhi match was a dead rubber. Win, lose or draw it would've made no difference to who we'll draw in the first knockout round. The Liverpool match today, on the other hand, was absolutely massive to our league campaign and AVB bottled it completely. We should've been focusing 100% on the league this week.

Eriksen really hasn't said anything wrong. His basically saying take one game at a time.

We have a lot of players and we really should be able to interchange. What us the point of CL Wednesday Saturday if we can't cope we the less competitions

Wouldn't a lot of the preparation for both of the games be the same anyway? I know there will be tactical differences but there will be quite a lot lot crossover.
