Indeed, qualities he demonstrated during the Iceland game and in the subsequent press conference to an admirable degree.I like Hodgson. He seems a decent man, and bright with it.

Yeah that's what I mean, they need to show some ambition as opposed to banking up and putting 10 men behind the ball and hoping for a point like they do for the first half of the season.
We beat Arsenal so surely we've pushed on and the Spursy results are a thing of the past...
According to you anyway
Gone up in my estimation now
The Liverpool game was one we could have easily lost, we first let in a goal within 5 minutes, then fought hard to pull it back. Then we allowed Salam to go through 5 players, lucky for us that their keeper is pretty shit.Thing is though Shady, it really was a turning point over these three games, we looked like a team with a genuine belief that we are better than any team in the top 6, we have definitely earned the right to lose that tag now I think.

How many more points do you reckon we’ll need for top 4 now?
22/23? Might be risking it a bit

i wouldn't bet on anything re Chelsea at this point...Hard to say really. Because I don’t think it’s inconceivable that united or Chelsea could totally fall apart.

Actually, playing that game, the answer is the same as fifth place but with better goal difference.1 more than 5th place.
also don't need to worry about 4th place = qualifying play off anymoreThis might be a bit controversial, but I don't actually want anything more than minimum for a new CL season. Because we are still participating in CL and the cup, it makes no matter to me if we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th, if finishing 4th is enough for a CL spot and increased cup focus.

Right now our aim should be chasing down Utd and finish 2nd. We're the second best team in the league and it's where we should be trying to finish.
Chelsea are outsiders to finish in top 4 now due to fixtures. However we have to stay at level we've shown this week, as things can easily change. It's not inconceivable that Chelsea go to Old Trafford and beat Utd who are a very odd team. Then a loss against Palace and suddenly we're outsiders again. Momentum is with us and right now I'm confident of at least 4th, add in an FA cup which we're second favourites for and its been a sensational season.
