But if the CL winners are also English and finish outside the top 4...

For example; if we come 4th and Chelsea and Arsenal come 5th and 6th but win the CL and EL respectively then it's City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the CL next season.

Not sure which is least likely, Arsenal have no chance of winning the Europa League and Chelsea are a very poor team who will be lucky to win away in Barcelona, let alone beat teams like Man C, Real Madrid or PSG.

Arsenal have a decent chance to win the el.

I honestly believe we can beat them to 2nd. Their only advantage would be not competing in the FA Cup. They have potent goal scoring options in that front 3.

We must just do what we've done over the last 2 seasons in our final games and we will be okay. There isnt any trophy for finishing above that lot but it brings pure satisfaction when we have done so.

Out of their remaining games, where do you see them dropping points.

I think they’ve got the best run in, and they’re already above us.

Erm... ok. All I did was offer you an explanation as to why @jimmy-jojo might be worried and for my trouble I've had a couple of posts negatively rated and been insulted. Thanks.
I apologise if i offended you but all i saw was you said we need to finish 3rd (not 4th).

I asked you reasons and i saw what you came up with.

All the best.

Edit: Can i give you a small tip? Dont be offended by neg ratings. It is the internet and nobody really matters.

The thing to remember is, our present table position isn't a result of fleeting moments, but of aggregated results. We've been better than Chelsea ever since they defeated us at Wembley. We have the fourth best squad in the league. We deserve this.

Ha, playing like this? lol

They come up against any organised teams with a shread of balls about them then they'll get beaten, such a sorry bunch.

Tbf most teams left in the cl probably wouldn't fair much better against city.

I don't want them to win it but you can't write them off as having no chance.

Not talking about solely this match, it's a feature of this team, heads just drop when it comes do digging in.

Atletico madrid are far better equipped to win over them but in reality it's a cup competition anything can happen I suppose lol.

I'm not trying to say they are favourites and would love to see milan walk all over them. But i'd not write them off.

They might win the Europa League.

However people saying Chelsea will win the Champions League as well.

Must be a full moon.

Its more of a gut feel. They still in the CL and dependant on who they play next will focus more on that competition. They will get the odd draw. Also the game at Manchester United and at City is crucial for them. Or am i imagining they still have to play city.

They in a comfortable position for sure but they will drop points.

Liverpool still have away trips to

Man Utd, Mourinho will aim to frustrate them, and providing your not a supporter of either the best 2 bets will be draw, and 0-0 on the bookies.

Palace, are not the easiest team to break down, and a small chance Zaha might be back by then. EDIT: hopefully gets a pen for diving, and that would really be fun

Everton, I know they have a great record at Goodison, but it's never an easy guarantee. Everton have improved at home under Alderdyse

West Brom, we have to go there also, the only difference being they might still be fighting for points v Liverpool. when we play them they should be down, and I can't see us playing like we did against Newcastle, especially if we need the points

Chelsea, like us they have to go to SB, if Chelsea need to win like they will v us, Liverpool won't have it easy.

hope we finish above them by 1pt, the meltdown on RAWK will be glorious due to us drawing at their place(y)

We will finish above them imo, I actually think we will finish 2nd, comfortably.

Fuck Liverpool.

I said that when chelsea won it :(

Which was my original point. It seemed highly unlikely that Chelscum would beat Bayern Munich in Munich but it happened.

Oh yeah and they also had to go to Barca in the 2nd leg of the semi-final. I'm pretty sure everyone was feeling very confident they would never get a result at the Camp Nou, too.

As I said, people forget quickly. Surely everyone who's been a Spurs fan for a certain amount of time knows by now that if circumstances can conspire against us then they usually do, even in the most improbable of scenarios.

Agree, would love to finish second but Palace, Everton and WBA are not strong opponents and I think Liverpool will take Chelsea and United apart.

Also by not having any FA Cup matches and essentially being able to play the kids in the 2nd leg versus Porto it’ll be interesting to see if that helps them with their freshness. I think it will.

Hope i’m wrong, but I cannot see us finishing above them.

nor was Swansea when they lost to them.

Palace are not strong but are no push over.

and Everton is a local derby where form can very easily go out the window.

we have Chelsea and City in our remaining fixtures, hopefully get something from Chelsea even a draw, and hope City are on the beach after beating Utd the week before to lift the title
