It there was anything, yesterday told us we could not take anything for granted.

No game is a sure-win now, with strugglers at the bottom of the table putting up fight. Really, it is all about us, and not the others.

I believe that is right. That's why there were 5 English teams this year. Nightmare scenario is Arsenal win EL, we finish 4 th and 5th place team win CL. I don't think they allow 6 English teams.

The chances of Arsenal winning the EL and team coming 5th winning CL are hugely unlikely. Especially as it will most likely be chelsea and if it’s us it’s irrelevant.

Since there are so many possibilities, our goals should be pretty clear...pick up points in the league when we can and win the CL to make sure we are in it next year. If Leicester can win the PL, then why can't we win the CL?

On a side note, with this great run we are having in the CL, will our coefficient go up enough to put us into Pot 2 if we don't win it?

I seriously believe that Poch and the team think they can win the champions league this year. With some of the performances we've put in.

In regards to the top 4 with our remaining fixtures, I think we should have enough to just about finish 4th or so. But I can see us heavily focusing on Europe, and rotating the team for the league.

Fingers crossed it all works out, and we have enough to fight on both fronts. Whilst at least making the FA cup semi final.

Hope team is just worried about getting 3 points at a time. Poch now has a side that he can rotate some.

Hopefully Eriksen and Kane can get a little rest during this stretch.

This time last season we had 1 more point and let in 4 less goals, we've scored exactly the same amount of goals as we had last season (53), difference is we were 2nd and above City, Utd and Liverpool who have improved but behind Chelsea who have gone backwards this season.

You have your figures wrong, I'm afraid.

Last season, game 28 was Southampton at home (2-1), after which we had 4 more points (59), had scored 2 more goals (55) and had conceded 3 fewer goals (21).

Yeah you're correct, actually I took it from PL.com's table after looking at game week 28, looks like some teams had played 28 matches up until that point but we had actually played 27.

Last season we didn't play our 28th match until the 18th March which was Southampton, did they start the season earlier this season?

13 Aug last season, 12 Aug this season.

The difference is at the other end. Final match is 13 May this season, was 21 May last season.

Looking at the usual suspects to win CL None of them are what they were. Barca were quite easily repulsed by Chelsea who just threw it away with a daft mistake. Watched the Madrid PSG game and saw nothing to be frightened of. We’ve got half a chance but will have to play well in all games. Aurier must not play in these games. 2 penalties already and counting. I think Poch plays him because of his experience in champ lge but we just cannot take the chance anymore. Throw ins anyone???

The only teams I really don't want to draw in CL are the English ones

We have not even navigated the first knockout round yet, think we need to do a bit more to get a better coefficient rating.

Didn't start earlier, but had more games thrown in over the festive period and will do again over Easter.
