I Watched 1st half against Burnley ,and Burnley were quite comfortable till the penalty.Thought it was a blatant dive but turns out his foot was clipped. One bad result and it could all change. Its 5 pts with 87pts Still up for grabs. It May well come down to the head to heads it’s basically a 12 pt swing and will be crucial.
Man Utd have dropped five points over the last two games. Shows how quickly things can change, although City have looked very good so far.

Another point I hadn’t considered until now. We consider this City team one which has been there and won things. However of the current squad only Kompany, Fernandinho, Toure, Silva and Aguero were at the club the last time they won the league. In fact they’ve won a single league cup in the last 3 seasons. This is a group which hasn’t yet made that final step together and conversely, come the end of the season, our team may actually be the better equipped to deal with the pressure of a title race having been in the mix the past two seasons.
I think what will decide it for them is how they cope after the first team that manages to 'find them out' and get a victory. The way they're looking at the moment though you never know they might not even lose.

Think it's way premature to start plotting and inventing reasons for the demise of City. For now, we should just accept that they are playing superbly well, and wait out our own match away to United. A convincing win vs. United, and I think it will be more reasonable to actually start talking about likelihood of the league title. That being said, we are playing crazy well these days, and we have never before played more like a team of upcoming champions.

After the first nine of the season, sorry. We won nine in a row between the Liverpool and West Ham defeats last season.

How close were we to the top in 11/12 when we hit that shocking patch after matchday 25.Really surprised me that 11/12 was better than last 2 season till around matchday 25 ..anway we Then had run of 6 pts in 9 games. Was that when we went to city and could have gone top if we won.Think I was very busy with work at the time at Its all a bit blurry.

Ah yeah we lost 3-2 to City and then the NLD 5-2 And it all fell apart after that.

You say that, but the media are already creaming themselves over City and more or less handed the title to them. Remember Leicester? Everyone rolled over and the officiating was bent as feck!! The closer we got the worse it got, it'll be a case of rinse and repeat with City this season. Imo.

The media was creaming themselves over City this time last year too. It wasn’t until we shattered that illusion and broke their unbeaten record that they fell apart.

Form is a fickle mistress.

Still think we are likeliest to finish 4th. If we are close with a couple of months left, you can bet the "powers that be" and Sky / BT Sport will arrange the fixtures to ensure we "bottle it" again.

YOu can not be serious. It's so defeatist to blame lack of trophies on some outer force. It's not like people will get together in a secret brotherhood to discuss how Tottenham can be prevented from winning through fixtures. And EVEN if they did, newsflash, we have to meet every team twice. If we are good enough to win, ie. the best team in the league over the season, we'll win. End of.

Even if they rearranged the fixtures so we're always playing catch up as with Leicester or Chelsea? Just to heap more pressure on us. That might not make us crack, but it would certainly be an added burden to carry.

Oh come on. One week it's "great that we are first, we can add pressure on the other teams". The next week it's "great that we are last, we can draw inspiration from results in the other matches". It's just bullshit that somebody would have a hidden anti-Spurs agenda, and we are too stylish of a club to put the blame on somebody other than our selves.

I agree we have the class and style to win it. Do you really not think though the media is corrupt enough to try to use any tactics necessary to ensure one of their beloved Sky 4 wins it? Check out Sunday Supplement or SSN or the Matchday Live programme. They might not succeed, but yes, I do think there is an anti-Spurs agenda, at times not very well hidden at all.

Yes, I think it's true that the clubs with the very most fans and largest market shares get advantages. That's not really anti-Spurs though. That's just cynically looking at what will generate the most money. But that's really not a margin that we should look at and go "that's why we haven't won anything".

Generally I call BS on any kind of conspiracy rubbish too. But the Leicester thing was scandalous, and we had to deal with a big bias in the football and media world. It was what it was though, and we should have been good enough to come through it.

Agree. Every pundit, journalist, ex player and their fucking dogs are saying that our best players should leave for more money at a bigger 'better' club every frigging week!!!

One could ask though, what would happen to Spurs if we actually were in the same position? If we were not number two or three chasing, but number ONE, consistently over a few weeks/months. If media could create a narrative about financial underdogs with a home grown English wonder kid spearheading the attack on the financial doping of the sport, overtaking Arab and Russian owners. Then what? We haven't actually been in that singular prime position, and I for one would say that, if that happens, you'll see. There is no Spurs specific conspiracy.

If we could hit 90pts this season that would be spectacular

Agreed, that would be spectacular. We are currently 2 points up on the same games last season and if we win the next 2 we will pick up 5 more. However we then go into 15 games where we won 13 and drew 2. If we cam emulate that run then we will really be in the running.

Well I very much hope to find out some day soon. But I doubt we would get the fixture favours Leiceser did, and the general cheerleading from the media, and opposition players.
