yep we lost a Semi final our 2nd 1 in consecutive seasons, both against teams that where having better seasons than us. Perhaps we should of fielded a lot stronger teams v Newport and Rochdale, but you would of been 1 of the 1st to moan if it ruled a player out for the season, or if that player looked fucked and fucked up in the next league match

perhaps he should of charged you a lot more while at Wembley, and increased it by 80% for the NWHL so he could afford to pay what Toby now wants, on top of paying off the stadium. if he increased Toby's wages up to the £150k he wanted from 50k, then surely the other 24 players in our squad deserve a 200% increase, because believe it or not, until our recent run we had got up to 4th without Toby and in the 2 games he has played we have only gained 1pt.

Another fan from the east stand moaning, yet never moaned he had 1 of the cheapest seats when the stand opposite was paying double what you was forever. if you didn't want such an increase and support Spurs you should of sat somewhere else to keep the increase down
You think he’s moaning about not playing strong sides against teams we got past? We didnt even play our strongest team in the fucking semi for the 2nd season in a row!

Oh I'll be gutted, as I really believe we need CL football in the NWHL. I'd of fathered we played Brighton with our strongest XI and hoped the FA Cup match would fall in our favour.

but I will be really annoyed with Man C, Brighton and WBA for not letting us win.

I know we played badly v City, or was it that City where just to good like they have been most of the season

I would of rather played a stronger team v Brighton and even rotated v City

I will be angry that Ben Forster got his head in the way, of Kane's shot, in a game we lost due to an offside goal, in a game we totally dominated, but will give credit to WBA for doing what they needed to do, and that was try and stop us scoring. we tried to win the match, but WBA did their jobs, and we failed to score with any of our 5 efforts.

I will be gutted and annoyed that either or both Newcastle and Leicester decide to turn up against us, but couldn't be bothered in games that effected other teams seasons.

I bet they will be gutted if it goes wrong, because their end of season bonus will go down massively if it's only EL next season, and their wages will be less next season if Levy doesn't sell them
Bottling top 4 is nobody elses fault but ours

MCity is almost acceptable, but the other 2 should have been wins, but our performances both collectively & individually were poor, giving both Brighton & WBA the incentive they needed to get something out of the games. If we'd played as we had done 2 or 3 months earlier I believe we would have won these games.

the Brighton game we made 6 changes and they played their strongest XI, Brighton have had some good results this season

WBA where shit, but have had something different in their last 4 matches, FIGHT and organisation. we never played Pardews WBA, and they never outplayed us in anyway, they got a very lucky goal, shit happens

Just as an example look at yesterday's results, Arsenal beat Burnley 5-0 now would that have happened on February 17th? No of course not and if anyone says it would I won't take them seriusly, moreover woulld it have happened yesterday if Burnley needed a draw to get European football next season? No of course not and then again would it have happened if it wasn't Arsene Wenger's last home game as manager? Not Likely so put all those together and you have Burnley with nothing to play for and Arsenal at home with something to play for and that was the difference.
Burnley didn't go out to lose, they didn't go out to not try and there was no way they couldn't be bothered but what is true that subconsciously they weren't 100% they were probably well down on their normal levels, a yard slower and a foot shorter and it's as simple as that.
My point is that however much Newcastle and Leicester will be up for the next two matches the fact that their season has already finished and half of them have got their suitcases packed means their performance level will drop, ours on the other hand will be full on with the opportunity to go third.
I'm not imagining scenarios to try to convince myself or anyone else this is just way it is.

I agree but it was the team that has got us most of our points this season

Bottling top 4 is nobody elses fault but ours

it's not bottling, it will be blowing. bottling is someone that wants a fight, then when the time comes, don't even try to be anywhere in the venue. you listen too much too other teams term of "FUCKING IT UP! BLOWING IT!"

I really fucking give up. you are either a troll or just got something missing upstairs

how did we bottle it v City?

how did we bottle it v Brighton?

how did we bottle it v WBA?

these teams have to be professional, and get bonuses for their performances too. in the last 2 games Brighton (not now they aren't) and WBA those teams are fighting for their lives. no team has a divine right to win, or they wouldn't bother playing a 90 min match, they would just give the better teams the points.

We'll still finish third.

god i hope your right, or I'll have to work all summer as there won't be anywhere to hide to avoid see the moaning on the site. i love the transfer forum during the summer, and the only bonus is @Archibald&Crooks likes booting people off for going off topic, and hopefully the moaners will not let him down in getting his kicks:whistle:

We need every single fan at the stadium on Wednesday and Sunday to create an intimidating wall of noise in support of the team. Never mind being the 12th man, we want a 13th and 14th man as well. We can do this but we have to get behind the team with huge vocal support.

#COYS!

make that 17, the ref, the assistants count you know. please tell me Mike Dean or John Moss aren't involved:whistle:

3rd or 5th ......

or 2nd or 4th even if Man U won't lose to both Wet Spam and Watford, it is possible, though the Fergie factor will most probably mean they will win both and the FA Cup

To an extent, but how does that extend to us bottling games away from home then when we have one of the best away followings in the league? If the players play with urgency on weds I'm sure the crowd will respond.

PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW YOU THINK WE ARE BOTTLING GAMES?

sorry for shouting, but I'm getting pretty angry reading that SHIT!

I just looked it up:

20:00 Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United
Referee:
Neil Swarbrick
Assistants: Scott Ledger, Richard West
Fourth official: Martin Atkinson

Looks like you're in luck! :)

The only luck I could have at the moment is, having the health to be able to afford a holiday in the middle of NOWHERE that has no internet service at all.

yes I'm worried, but this thread has gone so OTT, it makes Dolly Parton boobs look small. I'd be more worried if Newcastle or Leicester where even trying to get points of late, but they haven't, and Newcastle have to play both us and Chelsea

The fans need to create a cauldron of atmosphere from minute one of both games. I know it's not easy at Wembley, but we need to do everything we can to put that extra fire into the players.

This. We've heard enough from players who have said that it gets their adrenalin going. They really should be up for it and an extra boost from supporting fans would never go amiss!

if both games are sell outs, or got big attendances we should be able to make enough noise. you can guarantee the 5k geordies will make enough

sorry for shouting, but I'm getting pretty angry reading that SHIT!

5-1 at Newcastle, was a classic bottle job. One of our biggest and most famous, and was away from the 'nervy' and 'pessimistic' WHL crowd that was being suggested as a reason for us coming up short at crunch time.

I'm actually one that thinks WBA and Brighton deserved credit for excellent defending and we have no divine right to win these games, but please carry on projecting others arguments on to me.

As someone that thinks we'll get the job done but is still terrified at the possibilty of us blowing it. I have some advice to both sides.

If you are confident and optimistic, don't bother coming in here, make the most of it you lucky scamps. It will make this week a lot easier than mine will be to negotiate without worry. Don't let others bring you down.

To those negative nellies, Spurs are currently 15/2 outsiders* for missing out on top 4 so fill your boots with safety bets! (*yes outsiders, meaning they think we are least likely to mess up)

ok please don't take this the wrong way, I watched that match up to the final whistle. we never bottled it v Newcastle as we had guaranteed CL group qualification, though it hurt to finish below the scum still in a 2 horse race, it only cost us fans not the players apart from a bollicking from Poch. we came out in 1st gear and most probably never expected Newcastle to go for it so big as they where down.

unfortunately we decided to start playing once we were 2-0 down, if we had actually bottled it, we wouldn't of even tried to get back in the game. they got a player sent off and we went to a 2-4-4 formation leaving only 2 players at the back. they broke on the counter with pace, and won a penalty from the dive from Sissoko. we are not the only team that have ever been beaten by 10 men, and we won't be the last. we still tried and got done with 2 goals that where scored from counter attacks.

we fucked up, but because your mates, and media called it "BOTTLED" you have taken that term on board

I'm sick as hell right now and live in the arse end of nowhere so these midweek matches really are a **** for me to get back from, but I'll be there in full voice. If we don't have 70,000 + for both these games then we renege all right to bitch and moan if things do go tits up as far as I'm concerned. This is the time to show that we're supporters, not just fans. It's all well and good selling out and coming along for the right for a Utd home match when we're on form, but right now the chips are down, it's as big a test of us as it is of the team.

We've definitely lost our nerves in crunch games in the past. The last few games - I don't know, the pressure wasn't really on them individually aside from the semi final. I think that it smacks more of a lack of creativity, energy to press, Kane maybe returning too early.
