Salah is a wing forward which is why he is getting the praise he deserves

If we had him we would be clear in second

Annoying though right, weve been forced to get two n'averages in an attempt to get a good wide forward and Liverpool have picked up Salah and mane before hand.
Is it purely wages? Or we still not glamorous enough, we tried for balde but just wasn't interested

To be fair to Salah it's not just his goals, he's just a world class player. For a player that's not even a 9 his rate of scoring is ridiculous.

Kane literally only got accepted as world class this season and salah gets accepted as world class after scoring 15 goals in half a season? He's never scored at this rate before.

You could make a strong argument this is good form when you look at his scoring rate in the past. Josh king scored 16 in half a season last year, is he world class aswell?

Some laugh when people say an exotic name and a big price tag helps but in this case it clearly has

Both the two reasons you put forwad i suspect are probably the truth.

Even if we win those games, there is still a long way to go. We have to play Arsenal, Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool.
Well we're all halfway through the season so obviously everyone has to play everyone again lol.
I'm hoping we can see a settled back 3 of Verts, Sanchez and Toby for the vast majority of the rest of season. Also like to see less constant changes to full backs but its the cbs thats needed most.
If that happens and Kane stays fit then imo we'll definitely finish top 4 and believe Kane will get Golden boot again.

People always forget around this time of the season how much a run of results can change things, for better or worse.

Every season a mid-table team loses 3 or 4 on the bounce and are are suddenly drawn into a relegation scrap that nobody saw coming only a few weeks earlier. Watford and Bournemouth are good examples of this at moment.

Same at the top; go unbeaten in 5, winning 4 of them, and suddenly you can close points gaps that seemed insurmountable shortly before.

Our form has been patchy this season, so we may be due a good run. Win our next 3 winnable games and I think we'll see a tightening between our current 5th and United in 2nd.

Shame I can only rate this winner once.

It’s why I’ve said for the last month and a half that I can see is finishing second as good as sixth. I really don’t think runners up is out of the question if we can win a load of games in a row. I’m definitely more nervous about getting top 4 than I was 6 weeks ago but still confident that we can do it.

Come on mate it’s not just the stats just watch him play he’s a top top player. Who’s to say Klopp’s not improved him or got the best out of him? To compare him to King is silly.

Even if that happens I don't think the outcome is definite. It will go down to the wire.

Couldn't care less if Salah has been disproportionately praised in the media vs Kane. Salah's a great player, and Kane is a better one: I'm happy.

Wouldn't attempt to compare. Two different players in two different positions. I would have them both though!

For anyone who saw the match against Burnley can anyone comment on how good our pressing game was? How did it compare to last season?

On the flip side as a wing forward in a Klopp team he doesn’t have to defend much and is free to go for it and chase down through balls all day.

Kane on the other hand works his nuts off leading the line for us as the focal point of our attacks AND scores loads of goals. To do that in the modern game is very difficult hence there are so few players like Kane in the top echelons because you have to be so strong at everything.

To those who went into meltdown recently after the City game, you know who you all are, please take note of results from last 5 games in photo below and look at results of those around us.
Oh and in particular look at Arsenals recent form. Shiiiitttttt lol.
Put your dummy back in and keep it in next time we lose please.
Excluding City its only us and Utd with 3 wins out of last 5!!!
We beat Stoke 5.1 week before and you still came out with crap like 'Disaster. Sack Poch. Alli is shit. Winks is shit. Trippier is shit. Rose is shit. Dier is shit. Etc etc.'
You're an embarrassment.

Sorry, have I missed something here? Man Utd and Chelski have the same results, in the same chronological games. Don't they count because they have a prolifligate Russian owner? :cautious: :p

Yes lol. I did say Man U have same as us but I somehow missed Chelsea from my post. Other than City though nobody has a better points tally over the last 5 games.

Seemed more evident than recent games , but not the full on in your face press that we've seen last season.Spurs were comfortable throughout and maybe didn't feel the need for the full press because it wasn't a constant throughout the 90 mins but definitely an improved effort.

Have to say Mane is looking a bit shit. Maybe Salah is doing that, not the main mane anymore:ROFLMAO:

But seriously he’s a bit of a headless chicken. I don’t think there’s too much of a football brain there.

Being played on the wrong side to accommodate Salah, he'd be perfect for our right hand side, shame.
