Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos believes new signing Roman Pavlyuchenko is close to being the 'complete footballer'.
Russia international striker Pavlyuchenko sealed his move to Spurs from Spartak Moscow on the final day of the transfer window for a fee in the region of £14million.
Pavlyuchenko was a prolific goalscorer in Russia's Premier League and also shone for his country at this summer's European Championship.
Ramos is thoroughly looking forward to working with his new acquisition and is hopeful the 26-year-old can replicate his previous form at White Hart Lane.
Ramos said in The Sun: "He is almost the complete footballer. He can do different jobs - he can play with his back to goal, he can win it in the air.
"Our job is to make sure he can achieve the same level with us as he has demonstrated with Russia.
"I hope he gives us the same goals and intensity he showed in Euro 2008."
Corluka

Ramos also praised the versatility of another of his new recruits, Vedran Corluka, after the defender joined from Manchester City on a six-year deal on Monday.
"We are a bit short in defence, especially with Alan Hutton's injury and it's good to have cover," said Ramos.
"Corluka can play in a variety of positions and he can help the team if we have any further injuries.
"Circumstances will decide where we decide to play him. But he can play right-back, centre-back and defensive midfield equally well. He will give lots of solutions to the team."

I'm getting quite excited about Pav now, lets hope he comes up with the goods.

Also, with no Keano replacment, I can see Gio getting plenty of starts. Give him a month or 2 to settle in and I think we're gonna start seeing the magic! I'll love it if Gio has a better season that Robinho!

It certainly shows that we are going to be playing a 4-5-1 for most of the season.

It would appear people are too busy whinging in other threads to try and look on the bright side.

Pav's gonna be great, Gio's gonna be better than Keane, and this is gonna be the Hudd's season, thats my opinion and I'm sticking by it. :snooty:
