So you can win 1p?I might stick a quid on Celtic winning the SPL next year....

So you can win 1p?
This was the SFL vote today right? I think if they've said they have to go down to the 3rd div instead of the being parachuted into the 1st div, this actually increases the Newcos chances of getting straight back into the SPL. Unless the SPL have already voted no. Last I heard was that the SPL vote was being held on the 12th.
Bascially, unless the Newco ends up in the 3rd division - whether the reasons for them not doing so are predicated on the financial survival of others clubs or not - Scottish football is utterly dead.
Ah right, cheers. From what I gather in a rather emotional email from an old uni mate, he is saying the SFL - i.e. the diddy cubs - are being strong-armed into fudging it. Telling them that if Rangers are shoved into the div. 3, dozens of clubs will go to the wall. Stick 'em in div. 1, nudge nudge.
He's not a happy bunny.
A few div. 1 clubs have already said they oppose putting Rangers into div. 1 and some others have stated they'll consult their fans first, who'll most likely oppose the SPL's plan. The bizarre thing is the most recent poll of Rangers fans showed about 80% of them want to go down to div. 3 instead of starting at div. 1.
CHARLES GREEN paid £2.75million for players' contracts as part of his consortium's £5.5m buyout of Rangers, it has been revealed.
The club's administrators, Duff & Phelps, have revealed a breakdown of the assets of the club, most of which related to their sale of Rangers to Sevco Scotland Limited.
Mr Green's consortium paid for the club's employees to transfer to his new company under the Transfer Of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations, which protects employees' terms and conditions of employment when a business is transferred from one owner to another.
