Bryan Gil by a country mile. He played like he actually believed we could still get something out of the game. The starting XI were all shit.

Any player that scores against arse gets a pass, when we are assigning the blame.
Son motm.

The third humiliating defeat in a row enables change. In fact it is now essential.
I demand blood and plenty of it.

My issue with Nuno, is that none of this makes any sense whatsoever

He is playing that LCM more as a LM and alienates that player as result

But we literally have a wingback for LB and tell him to stay back

Then plays Alli and Hojberg more in the middle and we are shocked there is no creativity

Then whilst telling Reguillon to offer support for the 2 players in front of him. We literally have Tanganga with the whole right side himself

This. Reguillon Looks far more dangerous when we changed to 4-2-3-1

Thats more to do with having someone with the same football brain ( Gill ) to complement his skill set.

The other senior players are just fucking idiots, always hogging the ball in midfield making useless side and backpasses instead of passing it to the fullbacks.

433 isn't the issue, the issue is your LCM not playing LCM and instead LM. You want your CM to dominate that small space and make runs off each other

We for some reason play like this in 433
Son -------- Kane--------
--------Alli ------ Moura
Ndombele ------------ Hojberg ---------- Tanganga
Reguillon ------- Dier -- Sanchez ------------
Lloris
Also the last time we did this while being static off the ball

Not sure I can vote since I found nearly all of that totally unwatchable. Absolute filth. Seemed a bit better when Skipp came on, but Dele should have been off after 5 minutes.

i didn't really see it that way.

to me the issue was the front three were so high and narrow that one pass took them out of the game, we were effectively playing with three strikers. think how open people say 442 is, this was one step further. once the front three are out of the game and the ball goes wide, the outer cm has to amble over there to engage, leaving the central cm on an island of his own. the other cm then has to shuffle across to help but that then leaves us exposed down their flank if the opposition switch play quickly. tactically it was complete suicide.

I agree with you, and with my estimated formation, there isnt much with Moura being ridiculously close to Kane

Killer stat , we are 20th in the Prem for distance run . What a turnaround for a Poch team . Can only conclude the players aren't working for Nuno (with honourable exceptions)
