Johnson motm for me, changed the game. Star potential.

Good stuff from Lo Celso, he’s got some passion in him now. Great defensive work. If he wasn’t injured 80% of the season, he’d be some asset.

Werner makes some strange decisions sometimes, he overthinks things when has too much time. Confidence issue for sure. Still, he’s a threat every time at the back posts and makes great runs.

Liked the subs as well from Ange today. Also seems like he’s maybe compromised a bit on back passing? Not in a bad way, sensible playing to draw out the opposition and pounce. I like it, even though sometimes it’s maybe a bit overdone and gets tedious.

Brennan came on and changed the game. 2 assists and about 0.01 mm from a goal. Motm by a mile.

Johnson was the game changer so has to be MOM. He has to start on the right against WHU instead of Kulusevski. Good performances from Lo Celso and Bentancur when they came on. Werner worked hard and always gave them something to worry about down the left.

Johnson was the game changer.

Positives: Werner played his part in both goals and was always a handful for Luton. The back four and Vicario were solid. Son bit lucky with the goal but made up for the bad luck on the post ping pong.

Kulu another ineffective game and I totally understand Ange’s comments around attacking that back post. We looked better once Johnson came on and the combo with Porro looked better. The midfield were all under par, Biss was improved but should be doing so much better against Townsend.

Ange, good substitutions made the difference with Johnson outstanding, Gio nice cameo both offensively and on defence, Bent looked much improved.

Set pieces, frustrating as we don’t look threatening with ours and we always look suspect on oppositions. An area that we really need to do better on.

Don’t know why Ange started with Biss or Kulu but eventually he got it right. Kulu slows our play down, doesn’t attack the back post or track his fb.

Johnson was great, and Son drove us on. All subs did well.

West Ham’s counters are going to be tough for our style to deal with, but if we go at their fbs with pace we could nick it. First goal key. Hopefully we don’t concede many set pieces.

Shout out for Sonny who worked his socks off all game. Johnson MoM. Werner also worked hard. Kulu is running on zero confidence right now. Sadly.

Gio looks like he is ready and brimming with enthusiasm to make a mark. Benta was good. Biss was again very average. Didn’t think Sarr did much either. Madders was a non factor in the first half. Did better in the second.

Dragusin was better. Romero was good. Porro I feel has been poor for nearly a dozen games now. Making a lot of mental errors defensively and is often too static when inverted. Same could be said for Udogie, but you can at least see him trying to correct errors. Porro is coasting and needs a word.

I think goal keepers are often overlooked, Vicario made a world class save which no doubt was as good as a goal for us.
