I've been calling for Bissouma to get more game time but thought he was really poor today. Seemed pretty disinterested and did'nt manage a forward pass all frst half.
We must have been watching a different game

He had at least one wonky moment if I recall. Reasonably Solid but not a motm performance imho

I voted before the game even kicked off.
he wasn’t MOTM, but he’s scapegoated a lot in this squad, and I think he’s a lot better than people give him credit for.

In priority order:

Sonny
Sanchez
Japhet
Bissouma
Bentancur
Lenglet
Deki
Skippy
DanJuma
Perisic
Bryan
Doc
Forster (tho, he had nowt to do)

Stellini
Conte
Away support
The kit man
The bus driver
Kane
Son's Dad
All of the PNE players.

Sess
(Seen enough by now to say unapologetically he is awful. Simply bloody awful. The PNE fullback owned him all game long. And his attitude stinks. Always looks like he is unfocused and never gets out of 3rd gear. I get he doesn't trust his body with the injuries, etc, but he simply isn't nearly good enough to be even a back-up for us. And I can't actually see that many PL teams being interested in him either. Sadly, he's a dud. Needs to get a move to the continent and re-build his career. 'Cos he is liability going forward, and somewhat functional defending, which is about the nicest thing I can say).

Sonny. I'd have been quite happy if Conte had left him out but he scored two belters which might just kickstart his season. Brilliant if that's the case. Thought Japhet did well considering he's so often maligned on here. Liked what Bissouma brought to the party. Much more accomplished under pressure than PEH and a nice foil for Bentancur. Skippy did well too when he came on. I do like Hojbjerg but would be happy for him to sit a few out right now.

Sanchez for the audacity to undoubtedly, 1000% I intentionally scorpion-kicking the ball over his head in his own box…

the balls on that man…
At first my son and I thought that was a typical big Dave cock up but then we realised it was a monumental skill move of such ability, we stood and applauded. ?

Didn't think Biss was great in the first half but he does have a casual look to him and he was just keeping it simple.
He looked more progressive in the second.

Thought Tang looked pretty decent and apart from big Dave's couple of dodgy control moments, he looked pretty solid.

Rodders and Deki weren't at their best but we're still important players and both created good moments.

Doc and Sess, both very meh.

Perisic surprised me with how much running he was doing, must have been the highest in the team and his fitness is incredible. Up and down the pitch, chasing the keeper down and even popped up with a break down the right hand side. Thought it may have been his best game today, even though he played 3 different positions.

Son, well, his finishes said it all for him tonight. 2 cracking goals and a smile on his face again.

Thought Skipp looked really good in his little cameo and there's certainly more to him than just being a DM. Some great forward movements along with his usual ability to be in the right place to intercept the oppo's passes.

Gil was bright too. I really like the lad and will be sad if we sell him.

Royal was decent too, better than Doc but again, I've got a soft spot for the lad.

I wouldn't like to get into a fight with Forster. ?

Most of my thoughts are covered above.

I'd add that the tackling was excellent. The hated habit of standing off and giving time for oppo players to pick their passes/crosses was absent as we slammed into PNE players as they received the ball.

Bloody marvellous to see, looks like the 'mentality' discussions may be paying off. Quietly confident we'll be giving our next opponents something to think about (y)
