Could it not work out that the home game against the scum which will be re-arranged if we get to the FA Cup Semi-Final, will become the 2nd/3rd last Prem' game of the season if the Arse' continue in the CL ???

If so, this could be one of the most important N.London derbys for years (i use the term N.London derby loosely with the Woolwhich Wanderers)

Imagine the glory of cementing a 4th place finish with the bonus of denying Le'Arse the title to boot :beer::beer:

Or would it be too scary to have the possibility of the Scum winning the title @ the Lane whilst assuring we miss out on 4th spot:eek:mg::eek:mg:

Shall we just concentrate on Stoke away then Fulham in the cup and then think about the next steps.

At the rate of new threads on semi's, finals, rearranged games etc I can't help think some are getting way ahead of themselves.

Sorry, not aimed specifically at you shelfside yid

No offence taken mate......

But it's in the gene's of Spurs fans to take certain games for granted against percieved 'lesser' sides...... Everton 1995 1/4 final ?? Blackburn League Cup final 02 ???

Ol' habits die hard:cry::cry::cry:

Agreed. All of this is distracting me from booking my ticket for next season's Champions League final.

If it does get rearranged, we could play it on the 14th of April otherwise it'd have to be our penultimate game. Of course, we could be 3 points clear of everyone with a game in hand which would mean anything we get would be a bonus, something I believe is true even if we play it on the 11th.

In many ways I'd rather play it on the 11th, got more chance of winning since they have a midweek game I think. I think that might be more advantagious than losing an FA cup final

Are you taking the result for granted, SSY? I'm not and I'm still thinking of what could be down the line. I think it's a bit harsh to accuse people who say "IF" we win our next game such and such could happen, as taking the result for granted. As if!

I'm with SSY on this one, (although it was the semi in 1995 !) also remembering the League Cup semi replay with Arsenal back in '87 + Forest in the 5th in '90 and other "disasters"

It is good to look ahead, but not to get too complacent.

It's likely but not a forgone conclusion. If Arsenal get knocked out in the next CL round, they'll have two weeks free. There's also a possibility of playing on the 14th, it probably comes down to what the police say.

I'd much rather we play in the evening, seems to have a bit more spark when it's a night game, and we really want to avoid playing them on the 21st, a few days before they're due to play ManC and we're due to play ManU

To clarify, i'm taking nothing for granted ( hence the examples of previous complacency)

And while I do believe we'll beat Fulham, I dare not dream of a 4th place finish yet.

My main point was to just highlight the magnitude of the game 'IF' the situation arose where Arsenal came to the lane needing 3 points to win the league, while 3 points would virtually guarenteed a top 4 finish for Spurs ...............

Would be the sweetest of wins, or the hardest of defeats....
