The more i see of Vertonghen the more i likey.

Now if only we could have a composed RCB that can bring the ball out and pass it along the ground to play alongside him...

Also nice to see Sandro getting back to his beastly best.

Agreed. But rare as hen's teeth? It's a position that should have the importance (and value £) of a striker...

He won every single header he was immense. And it didn't surprise me that we looked much better at defending corners with him there.

Midfield three brilliant, though Sigurdsson lost it in the second. Hudd looked good when coming on. Defoe had an absolute blinder and we looked decent defensively. Vertonghen uh huuuuhhh.

I thought in terms of all round play defoe was brilliant but his finishing was poor should of had a hat trick well before he scored his second but he took both goals well
