Ok, I kinda feel compelled to put his out there even though I am probably going to get loads of shit for this, or it's deemed inappropriate, for this section of the site.

Harry's left and there's a big cauldron of emotion: a lot of anger, misery and happiness, relief, expectation and concern about what happens next.

So, here's a wake-up call (apologies for non-UK members if you don't relate to the following):

Let's say you have a dream tonight, and in it you're on a Game Show called 'Choose your Reality', and you've just won the Final Round and you have to choose your prize.

Whatever you decide - once you wake up, that will be your life and reality:

1) Stay where you are: in the UK, with everything exactly as is, and see what happens next ...

2) Be transported to another reality where everything that's going on in Spain (or Greece) is happening in the UK, except Real Madrid / Barcelona are actually Spurs: with the Manager (Jose), the Team (of your choosing), the Financial Backing, the Stadium (Bernabéu / Nou Camp), the Weather, etc ...

... and the financial turmoil 'your' country is currently going through.

Yeah, you may potentially support the Best Team In The World, feel the pride and can brag like fuck to your mates, but what happens if the day after, you lose your job; the bank that has all your money folds; and you get a re-possession order on your home?

What would you choose?

Yeah ... I thought so ...

BOTTOM LINE: Do you really think that Real or Barca fans are the happiest people in the world, at the moment?

EDIT: hopefully clarified the Real or Barca as Spurs thing a bit better.

That's a long post just to say "keep perspective."

Don't get me wrong, I feel like many people on SC, and I do my fair share of venting.

However, some of you guys are taking this way too seriously, and perhaps should draw the curtains occasionally and see what else is going on outside, beyond your windows.

Yeah, sorry about that ... I don't use Twatter. ;)

I fear the 'paragraph' is a dying concept.

As is using a bit of creativity to get a point across ...

What TrueYid said. Even if I was living in Spain I would only support Spurs. Every other team pales in comparison.

OK, I apologise for not wording it better - it was late.

What I was trying to put across is that in this other reality Real / Barca ARE Spurs.

If I won a gameshow like that, I would imagine I would choose a reality better than either of thosse two (one involving mountains of money and a couple of dozen super-models :)

So you're basically asking if we would send our country into financial ruin, perhaps in perpetuity, in exchange for Tottenham being successful? And this is designed to teach people perspective.

A) You lack WINNING MENTALITY and B) I'm not entirely convinced this is going to actually help anyone

Would I like us to be like Barca? That would mean the arseholes just won the league wouldn't it? No dude, no I wouldn't. If I didn't accept the shit that goes with it I wouldn't be a spurs fan...
